Hi David,

Why "Cainam Nazier?" What does that mean?

Here's my thought to your question.  On the occasions that I become aware of being separate from my body during sleep, I am NOT just lying around astrally sleeping. I am usually elsewhere in the house - doing some strange task.

As separate nighttime experiences, I also have some wonderful dreams regarding my departed parents. These feel like visits to me. They are not lucid, they are 'just dreams' but occasionally feel like legitimate visits.  And I occasionally have dreams that help me understand my lifetime 'problems' a little bit better.

I like to think that there are also nighttime experiences that I am unaware of that are like 'astral classes' where I am learning the secrets of the universe. Heh. Don't remember those, though.

So, from these differing nighttime experiences,  I definitely think that we 'learn' or experience important events through the night whether we are aware or not. I don't think we are just lying around sleeping on every level.

I have a related question - We tend to think that we want to consciously remember our astral experiences---- we want to bring the experience to our conscious memory.  But I wonder why - if our waking daily experience is largely a product of biology (the physical body - but maybe it isn't?) then why are we so intent on bringing part of our 'eternal' existence to the memory of the part of us that dies at the end of a lifetime?  Am I really just doing this astral exploration for kicks, or do I indeed benefit from it in an eternal, spiritual way? Presumably our spirits are aware of the astral excursions and so onwhether we physically remember them or not?

So you actually kinda "wake up" in the middle of performing a task of some sort.  Interesting.

Have you ever woke up andfound ourself talking to another individual in the astral?

As to your questions, the last one first.
I believe that for most of us it is a matter of understanding.  Often there are situations or circumstances that you are aware of but either do not know what they are or WHY they are.  Me for the most part is a question of why.  I believe that there are things that I may be doing when asleep that are having effects while I am awake.  This has been driving me to this point.  I figure if I can remember what goes on when I sleep I will have a greater understanding of the why when I am awake.  Follow?

As far as my name.  Cainam, a name that was given during high school.  I tend to have a cool, calm, methodical means of doing this.  It came about when playing football.  I was a madman on the field but with an agenda.  Hence cainam or maniac backwards.  "There is a method to my madness."
Nazier, a name I simply pulled from the air, although I have been seeing the name used more and more.  To me it sounds like a wizards name, a scholar of sorts.  The two together represent the main parts of me.  The warrior, Cainam, the loose cannon, and Nazier, the mystic, the scholar, the logic behind the chaos.

Hi David,

(I like your name.)

Well - you asked:

Have you ever woke up andfound ourself talking to another individual in the astral?

No, I have seen very few people in the astral. I know that I am apprehensive about meeting others - and I have always thought that as a result I only gain awareness when I am alone.  I have had some amazing dreams, however, that involved other people and possible teachers and so on.

I am not sure I follow. You mean that there are daytime situations that we try to make sense of? Maybe like why certain people are in our lives, or why we seem to face the same challenge again and again through life? Something like that?

Related thought - I am definitely of the mind that the subconscious talks to us when we are asleep - whether it is on an astral level or just in our heads, understanding dreams through journaling them etc has proven to be a great way for me to come to a deeper understanding of waking issues.

Do you have a specific 'why?' question in mind? No need to share - but sometimes people can offer ideas -

Ah, despite my jumble of words you followed it just fine.

My specific why.

I was gifted certain "talents" from birth I sappose.  They have always been there.  Along with that I have been given a great feeling that I a sappose to be doing something.  Some thing important but I don't know what exactly.  I know in part I am here to help people.  It is some thing I do very well, a certain natural instinct if you would.  But I feel there is more to it.
I seek for a reason why I am the way that I am.  An answer that would give me purpose.  I seek for the reason that I feel that I am not doing what I am sapposed to.   It is, in part, the universal why are we here.  But for me I feel there is more to it.  There are a few other things, a handfull or re-accuring events, the feeling of being watched most of my life (not in the paranoid fashion),  and a big one for me is this.
Most of the traits that I have seem largly to be handed down from female to female in my family.  To the best of my knowladge I am the only male in the family so affected.  My brother may have been but he has "fried" any hope for development.

Well, I guess I can relate. I was pretty deperate to find the meaning for my life a few years ago. Things were pretty grim and I was ready to finish it all up.

I found the clearest sense of answer to this particular question through prayer and meditation, rather than sleep activities like AP. I am sure the answer can come through AP, too.  Or back to your original post, through night time activities even if we aren't aware. I prayed to learn my purpose hoping to learn some concrete task to perform - but the 'answer' that I personally repeatedly get is that I am here to love, period. Love others, keep learning what love is, learn to be accepting of love FROM others, yada yada yada. Love, love, love. Love is all you need. (love is all you need)

Have you considered the following possibility:

Your reason for being here is simply to help others, as you say. There is no other reason that you are here, this time around.  Your discontent with this reason for this incarnation is because you would like there to be a different reason..... so you keep saying " No, really, what is the REAL reason I am here?" only to get the same answer - "Just help others."

This might or might not be the case at all. I think it applied to me a little though -  the discontent I felt with the idea of simply  'loving others' was because (a) the purpose felt so nebulous, (b) I wanted a 'task' that would have a set end-point so I could wrap it up and vamoose, and (c) preferably my reason for living would involve something really really cool, like teaching the masses how to project.

But you know, your search itself is valuable too, and some people think the search is more valuable than the answer. (I'm learning a lot about how important love is in so many areas.)

Maybe your talents are part of your life experience in order to provide you personally with the help and hope that would benefit you while you are busy helping others? And of course, I can imagine a ton of ways that talents can directly help others - particularly those experiencing a faith crisis or extreme grief.

okay - my kids are asking for me. Time to go be a loving parent again.

I have a few questions about this.

It has been said by many of the people on this forum that most if not all people project in thier sleep.  This being regaurdless if they are "aware" or not.

Also it has been said many times that for the most part these people are only sleeping on the astral as well.  Or thier energy bodys float only a few feet from thier real bodies while sleeping.

So my question is this.  Is this all that people do when they project and are unaware?  Or do they do other things?

This is leading up to a few more heavier questions but I will start with this and continue after a couple of responces.
