Alright so I've been realy eager to try to have an OBE. I realy have alot of faith and no doubt in OBE's.
I decided to go have a go after reading alot on astral projection. It sounded so adventurous and exciting.
So I went and layed down on my bed. I relaxed and took some steady breaths as some guide explained on some site I've read before. After a few minutes with my eyes shut and relaxing etc. I found some green small blob with my eyes shut. It looked far away and small. I decided to focus on it. I focused and the blob merged into a 3d model of two dogs near eatchother. They looked far away and where green. Then they dissapeared. My eyes have been closed the whole time. I wanted to see the green blob again. I focused and after about 5 seconds I saw a killer whale (Like free willy) far away swimming towards me. It looked far and was green just like the dogs. But it didnt last long. Like the dogs it lasted round 3 seconds. I thinked "wow awesome." I tried to focuse again and saw the whale swim away. It also lasted round 3 seconds. I was thinking what the hell's happening. Is this suposed to happen when im imagining myself out of my body? I got confused so I focused again hoping that green small blob will appear. It didn't appear. Instead it looked like a part of a skeleton. Like around the groin. It was far away and green. Lasted also round 3 seconds. I focused again and saw the same thing. It got quite boring so I stopped. Keeping my state of being relaxed and breathing steadly, suddeny after like 2 mins of having those weird visions of the whale etc. My eyes started to tighten hard and it was like I was zoooomming through this straight tunnel and I felt tingiling throughout my body. I didn't know what it was so I just opened my eyes after like 6 seconds of it happening. Like the top middle ish of my head started to hurt for a couple of secs and I realised my breathing had gone faster. I didn't know what was going on so I decided to leave it for now.
I kind of enjoyed the experience. I don't even think it was OBE related. I feel kinda stupid.
I hope someone would help me out and explain what might of been happening.
Cheers.

It kind of sounds like you were "seeing" into the "astral", kind of like clairvoyance. The zooming through the tunnel is a common feeling when changing states of consciousness. And it's common to get head aches and pressure when you start using (or overusing) those new "organs" of perception. I have more "seeing" type of experiences than OBE's, and to be honest, I prefer it. It's easier for me too. You might want to look into "phasing" as well.

One theory on head aches and pressure is that you're putting too much emphasis on your "3rd eye" or brow chakra and need to focus more awareness through the other chakras as well. I used to get pressure quite a bit, started doing energy work, and it slowly leveled off.

Thanks for replying. I'm kind of new to the OBE situation. So the two dogs and the whale had something to do with astral? What is a clairvoyance may I ask  :-D ? With the tunnel feeling. What consciousness was I switching to? As for the '3rd eye' does it have something to do with the experience I had?
I think I got the headache from pushing too hard. The whole process was about 13 minutes long. I should have gave it atleast 45 mins. So before I try to astral project, do I have to open up all the chakras?
Sorry for asking qeustions constantly like a 4 year old.
One more thing. What does it mean If I have seen all this on my first go?

I wouldn't take any of it too seriously. Clairvoyance is simply being able to "see" things clearly in your mind as though you're seeing them in real life. The best way to find out what state you were possibly in is to read up on states of consciousness. I suggest Robert Monroe's books if you haven't read them.

Here's a good thread to read too: http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_the_astral_faq/what_is_phasing_and_how_can_i_do_it-t17413.0.html

I wouldn't try to read into these types of experiences too much at first. As you have more and more they'll start to make a little more sense.

Hello Entertine

What you experienced is what we call "hypnagogic hallucinations".  These are images that we can all see when we are on the point of drifting off into sleep.  Now just because they are called "hallucinations" doesn't mean they are unimportant.  This is just the scientific name for them.  Hypnagogic hallucinations are a form of seeing into the astral.  How real are they?  Who knows.

I have spent hours watching these images, (usually when I'm ill and confined to bed all day).  With a little effort you can actually move into the scene you are watching (it's called "phasing") and there you are! You're in the astral.  for some people this is the easiest way of projecting.

These images occur when you are in what's called the "Mind Awake Body Asleep" (MABA) state.  This is when you are so relaxed that your body is about to fall asleep, but you have managed to remain mentally alert enough not to let your mind drift off to sleep.  It's hard to do, you have done well to do this on your first attempt.

The best time to practice is after about 4 or 5 hours deep sleep, when you begin to wake up.  Some people like to get out of bed for a while and walk around a bit and then go back to bed and try then.  So well done!  Next time try to move into the scene you are watching.  It's hard to describe, but one moment you are "outside" the scene observing it, and the next you are "inside" the scene experiencing it.
