Title: I did it
Post by: Stookie on August 16, 2005, 12:00:37
I've been studying OBE and AP for about 10 years now and have had a few spontaneous experiences.  But I never practiced on a regular basis until earlier this year.  Sometime in April I got the Monroe Gateway Wave I series and started using them about twice a day.

Last night, about 1 and a half hours before I went to bed, I used the 3rd track (re-enforcement of focus 10).  I've been using this track mostly, and lately have been feeling really "vibracious" by the end of it. Last night was no different. So when I finished I was feeling "buzzy" for the next hour or so until I went to bed. Then I decided to use track 5 (exploration of sleep). I started feeling tingly and "vibey", while still very aware, and suddenly "jumped" to focus 10. I knew without a doubt I switched to focus 10. It was like flicking a switch. Then Monroe started saying "feel yourself getting lighter and begin to float up" (something like that) and the vibrations really started going, and the whole "racing heartbeat" thing started going. I've got to this part a lot over the past several weeks, and I always get excited and it goes away. (Plus, no matter what people tell me, it feels like my heart. Maybe it's not, but it sure feels like it.) I really expected it to go away but it started getting stronger and faster and then I started to rise up. I believe the Monroe instructions are to roll sideways and then up, but I just went up. I kind of felt like I was at an angle. I was surprised to make it this far, so I just stayed still and relaxed until Monroe talked me back. It didn't really feel like my physical body was movable, so I did the "wiggle-your-toe" trick which did it.

I've had a few OBE's, but they were so spontaneous and uncontrollable and I was unconscious before they happened. This time I was fully aware and conscious (and a little mixture of nervous & excited) the entire time.

Now, back to practice!

Wow, congratz! Fully conscious is another experience all in itself, and being able to do it more and more as you practice is going to be a big payoff. I can't wait until I get there myself.

I'm interested in getting that Wave I series - I'm glad to see someone has been able to use it effectively.

Awesome, great to hear!  Conscious exits are so incredible!  Its always so insane.  When I wake up in a dream or black out and return phased I just sort of go "whoa, that was strange, now its time to explore"  but when I consiously exit its like 'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  THIS IS INSANE!!!!!'     Especially with my last experience where I was shot backwards at Ludicrous speed.

I've attempted phasing and have had some results, but the mental visualizations are either hard to hold or I drift to sleep. But the Monroe method of feeling and sensations seem to work better for me. I also think a lot of it is the binaural beats. I think some people don't get results from them because they don't use them enough and on a regular schedule. I've been doing them twice a day, everyday since I got them. It takes a while for your brain patterns to change, but now when the beat changes I feel my consciousness change with it.

And don't forget the Astral Pulse. Visiting here almost everyday keeps me in the right mind set. I probably wouldn't have made it this far without it. Thanks AP'ers!
