A good way to use the Chakras is a method of creative visulaisation, i.e. imagine these energy centres as bright lights (even in different colours if you wish) and imagine energy traveling between them. You could also try to feel vibrations in them. I found that if you sit down and shake your legs for 3 minutes then stop you have a huge vibrating state that flows right through you. You can then imagine this flowing through the Chakras. (this last method is mine alone, and I dont know if its a recomended method but if you have probs imagining vibrations then this is a good a method as any.)
