For me, astral projection implies that you are being shown visions through a spiritual entity. When you die, that entity might pose as you, but that's another story. One things for sure though is that astral projection may prove telepathy to be real.
There isn't another "life" after death, but a resurrection back to life (and then your life continues).
Death is only a pause to life before the resurrection...it's like a sleep.
It's possible to dream before you are biologically brain-dead (that's where NDEs come from), but after that you black-out and wake up in the resurrection.

OBE does NOT prove that we continue to exist after the physical body dies. That's because the physical body is alive and (usually) healthy at the time, and we can not discount the possibility that it's all happening courtesy of a physical brain. It DOES (in my experience) prove that ESP is real, courtesy of information obtained whilst OBE which we could not know, by use of the physical senses.
On the other hand numerous NDE studies DO in fact prove that we can survive without a physical body. As I have said on other threads there are numerous examples of people experiencing consciousness and awareness of their surroundings whilst flatlined in the operating theatre. This is a matter of fact.
It is a routine medical practice in some forms of brain surgery to reduce the EEG and blood supply to zero for several minutes whilst performing brain surgery. The brain can survive without damage in this condition for a few minutes, before cell necrosys begins. People who have undergone this procedure have reported that they were conscious, floating in the operating theatre, and were able to report details of conversations, tools used etc whilst they were flatlined.
In a nutshell, they were clinically dead, as measured by EEG and blood flow, and yet they exhibited perfect consciousness and perfect awarenness whilst clinically dead.
Hard to explain...
I think that could be taken as pretty close to proof that we really do survive death. :-)

KIND OF but NOT REALLY.Since they weren't REALLY dead we can't be sure if it is proof of life after death or not.i know some people night geted bummed at this idea but i am just saying. :|I don't know about everyone else but i still personally think that the permanent death of your body is the only real way to know for a 100% fact if there is an afterlife or not.

Actually when you say the weren't "really" dead... zero EEG and zero blood supply is the best definition of clinical death we have today. It's the best. But i know what you mean.
Today I had an experience about that, I was using the astral telephone to contact my bird that died 2 years ago. Through the speaker I heard him singing like he used to, but he was smarter, he could also answer simple questions.
There was a woman in the house who was the mother of a dream friend, and I asked her if the bird really existed in the way I had known in life, and she said yes, the bird exists of course, then she went on to lecture me on Afterlife Part I.
It was a long explanation, and though I don't remember a thing right now, the concepts made sense to me at the moment. The communication through the astral telephone ended, and she said that later she would tell me about Afterlife Part II. It regards the things that can't be understood by a living mind, the bird exists but it's not that simple.
A few more things were revealed but then I decided I didn't wanna know anymore, I had made a promise before not to ask about the afterlife, so I wanted to keep my word.
Basically I don't remember Part I and I didn't wanna know about Part II, so my post is useless lol
Anyways, everytime I spoke about the afterlife with astral beings they always told me it's real, but I've never been allowed too much information into it... actually they kicked my a** if I insisted, so I don't care anymore.

Text book reading, on-line forums can only offer so much. Think of it as a college course, you goto school, learn, but there is no hands on experience. Once you do have a wide awake OBE and experience multiple times you will know.
Asking questions is good and shows interest and intent. But to really chase the truth, experience it head on and you will know!
