Do they acctually GUARD you? I mean If they have their own lives and what is there to guard? I never see guardian angles saving people from being killed or falling of cliffs? What exactly are they and do?

There's always the possibility the person wasnt your guardian angel.

Who has AIM?

Anyways it's like me and my Greys(Zetas), there is the possibility the gremlin-like creatures are haunting me, and then there's the possibility that my thoughts of fear created them. And since the image of a Grey(alien) have flocked to my mind whenever I hear strange things, it is quite likely I could have created astral beings that behave like I think the Greys do.

The similarity between that situation and yours is this. You wanted to meet your guardian angel, therefore you called for her and it could have simply transformed into a lucid dream where you created everything that your mind simply wanted to see. You saw a University because you were at your University at the time of the projection. You saw this "second Earth" incredibly vividly because you possibly imagined that the world of these "guardian angels" is beautiful. Maybe the name Elisa and a partially Chinese look is either what is your fantasy girl [:P] or an ex-girlfriend.

Or maybe you did meet your guardian angel. Who knows? I've never met mine, and I haven't really gotten any protection from mine if I do have one. Maybe he/she is slacking off...

Two separate experiences.

In one, I was awake all night praying to meet my guardian angel. Finally fell into a fitful sleep. Woke up the next mroning early and continued begging to meet my guardian angel.

Nothing, nada zip. Kept begging for anything - looked around and noticed two arcs on the wall. I was at a hotel and the arcs were shadows from the morning sun but I couldn't figure out what made them. SO I went to stand between the shadows and the window to try to figure out what those two arcs (I was thinking wings) were from. I looked at the window, couldn't figure it out. So I turned my head to look at the wall behind me, see if I was lined up with the arcs. I saw my reflection on the wall, with an arc sprouting off each shoulder.

Interpret it however you like. My interpretation is still fuzzy on it, something like your angel is as close to you as you are to yourself.

Second experience, same time frame but later --- I had heard that you can know your angel's name. So I started praying to dream my angel's name.

I woke up the next day with a memory of a name - Ashmarrath. No clue why that name. No memory of the interaction, just wonke up knowing that I had learned the name the previous night. A few months later I was in a store and all these angel pins were out - each had a name on it. They all started with "Ash-" which really struck me. None of them were "Ashmarrath."

I asked Ocallah (online spiritualist who sometimes visits Afterlife Knowledge) what the name might mean, and she said "Ash-" means to destroy through fire. She suggested I look up "Marrath" in the dictionary.

Turns out it is the name of a Biblical city, it means Bitterness. So Ashmarrath, I believe, means to end bitterness through fire.

This fits well with my life.

I don't really know the answers to your questions, but my guesses are:

Have you met him or her yet?  - Yes, sort of.

Do they live normal lives just like us?  -No

Are they evolved beings?  -Evolved? Maybe, different? Yes.

What is our connection with them?  - ??? Maybe they care about us?

How can she be looking over me if she is living her own life?  -see answer above, they aren't living lives like us.

What did you learn from him/her? - that (s)he is THERE. And the name.

Any thoughts about my experience? -I'm curious what happens next!

you should of never make assumptions and asked this being who they are (identify themselves)?  I remember one time after my grandmom died week later she came to my mom my mom saw a dream of door slamming and woke up arms numb (paralysis) then the same hour she came to me I saw the door slamming instead of waking up I got a tape recorder i could of said I'm listening then I knew intuitively who it was called out grandmom she replied to me, I said how its over there she says its always summer (so the warm thing is true) wanted to ask more questions but I woke up my arms were numb though but knew it was a good spirit and the spirit was grandmom because she went to my mom first and failed then came to me and identified itself to me.

Fat Turkey, I am a regular lucid dreamer and I know when I'm in a lucid dream, because usually I become lucid with a reality check. But this time, everything definitely started off with a conscious astral projection exit where I could see my room. And I have never seen my room in a lucid dream before. Only once before in my first successful OOBE. I have given thought to the possibility that at some point, it could have turned into a lucid dream. But the fact that I saw her lead me out of my room into another dimension, and then she was STILL there leads me to believe it was real.

I remember her name very clearly, it was pronounced "A-Lee-Sa", at first I thought that was spelt Elissa, because I had never heard that name before. I checked it out on the internet under a "Names" site. There is indeed a name spelt Aleesa (Variant: Alysa). It is from Greek meaning princess. The fact that she told me a name which I had never heard of, but is a real name I find interesting. Because it would suggest that I didn't just make it up in my head. She did not look like anybody I have seen before, nor did I have any sexual feelings towards her.

Patty, your experience is intriguing! Especially the meaning of the name which surely can't be coincidence! Very exciting stuff!

Weagle, I have to say I did make an assumption that she was my guardian angel. It was a trusting assumption since when I began to feel a bit scared in my dark room, I called for my guardian angel to appear, she saw that I was in distress and immediately showed herself and offered her hand to me. I felt really safe in her presence and took her hand. Next thing I knew, we were in her world... Whether she was my real guardian angel or just a friendly spirit, I will ask her in more detail if I can summon her next time. Now I have her name, this should make it easier to find her again.

Hasn't anybody else met a guide or guardian angel? I thought it was quite common but it seems I have accomplished something quite rare!

good deal. dont let anyone make you doubt your experience. the fact that you were totally consciouss says a great deal. Anyway, perhaps this was your spirit guide? Im not too keen on the idea that we have guardian angels because i dont see what their role would be. To stop us from dying before our time? i dunno i am still making my mind up about the subject. But have you considered it just being your guide? Perhaps they are one and im just creating seperate entities [|)]

Great experience.  You are the only one who can really tell who your guide is.  You'll just know.  You'll feel a familiarity with them etc.  It's also more than likely you have more than one guide/guardian.  Interestingly, one of my guides who shows up on a regular basis is an Asian female.  She's bailed me out of a couple of tight spots before in the Astral when my own fears wouldn't allow me to "save" myself.  Just recently she gave me a good chewing out.  Because of my upbringing in a certain religion I was always discouraged from going to College.  However, even though I am the Director of Technology at a University and have owned several of my own businesses etc, I had up until the other day always felt just a little insecure about not having gone to College to get a degree. Anyway, to get to the point, I was having a dream in which I was feeling insecure and sorry for myself.  I was in a college going to classes and couldn't seem to finish my courses... I was feeling very sorry for myself... and BAM! right in the middle of the dream she appears, completely interrupting my feelings of self-pity and says, "Chris! What are you doing?  You have work to do! Why are you wasting your time on this stupidity?  Where is the Chris we know who doesn't care about man made degrees and diplomas?  Where is the Chris who realizes that accomplishing goals that matter is more important?  Where is the Chris we know who accomplished this and that and this other thing?

I felt really stupid and ashamed, but at the same time could very intensely feel love and carring from her.  It was more like a mother chastising a son she loved instead of someone just lambasting you with insults. Yet, it brought me out of my self-pity very quickly, and when I woke up in the morning I noticed that I felt a whole lot better.  My energy was stronger and I was raring to go and get some projects done.  Only after that was I able to realize that I had fallen into that depressed self-focus about a week previous and hadn't been feeling well all week.  I was unaware of my condition until she snapped me out of it.  I'm very appreciative that my guides act as "guardians" in this way.

Is there any way that I can meet or even just find out my guides/angels name?  I can't project, and praying doesn't seem to help, i cant lucid dream either.  But i have a great desire to meet or just know their name to know they are there, even though i do know they are i want some closure (name) any thoughts?

Well, I've met my guides on more occasions than I can count, and so far, I don't know what any of their names are.  What's interesting is that I might be curious at times on this day or that day while I'm awake, in this physical body, but whenever I'm out of body, it just doesn't even come into my mind to ask... it's like it doesn't matter.  I think names based on physical sounds are not really important... at least for me.  Inside, I know my guides by their energetic signature.  It's a way I feel around them, their presence, etc... it is unique.  So, personally I don't feel a need to externalize it into a physical sound.  However, that doesn't mean it's not important for you... perhaps it is.  

In terms of meeting your guides... my personal opinion is that one should not focus so much on meeting one's guides.  If you simply focus more on becoming more aware of yourself, of others, and of other states of consciousness, they will make themselves apparent to you at the appropriate time.  I've been having OBE's since I was around 14 years old.  I didn't meet my guides (consciously at least) until I was about 25.  There's another point.  Most likely you have already met your guides (in this physical life time), you just don't remember it.  Increasing your ability to remember your dreams and OBE experiences will increase the likelihood of remembering an encounter with your guide.

Another interesting thing is that you may have OBE's and just not be able to see your guides.  In my first consciously remembered encounter with my main guide, he was invisible.  On subsequent OBE experiences I was taught... or more accurately TOLD that I needed to shift my focus in order to see my guides.  I believe it again has something to do with our own perception.  It's like having our eyes closed and not knowing it.  

The following illustraton demonstrates how my experiences were with my guides:

Someone walks up to you and talks to you and you can hear their voice but you can't see them... it's dark all around you.  You assume the lights are off.  You grope around looking for the switch and you yell at the person to turn the lights on. Then the person says, "hey open your eyes stupid!".  You say, "my eyes are open! don't call me stupid!".  "I'm telling you your eyes are closed!" he says back to you.  You steadfastly declare, "look... I know when my eyes are open and when they are closed... now just turn on the light switch and stop fooling around!".  The other person gets fed up with you and walks away.

This general scenario happened to me a couple of times.  Then, being the genius I am (haha) I finally got it through my head and the next time my guide told me to open my eyes and change my focus I listened and he literally shimmered into view.  He was smiling and quite happy... and I was a little embarassed by my previous behavior.

Chris, its great to finally hear from someone who has regular contact with their guides! Do you know anything about their lives or what they do? Do you think they live their own lives in another dimension?
Or could they possibly be another human on Earth?

I got this response from another astral discussion board and it is really intrigueing:

Once back in October of 99 when the earthquake hit Isthambul,Turkey...I was asleep, in my time zone,dreaming o being underground and talking to a boy about 14-15 yrs old. His father was with him and the father had already died. I was there to console the boy and I showed him his palms and showed him his long life ahead, his future wife and his future children,etc. He was scared he wouldnt make it out alive, he was buried underground. I told him he would be found but it would take 3 days. Well, I woke up from that dream, poured myself some coffee, the morning news was coming on and the big story was this earthquake that had destroyed parts of Turkey overnight. (i still hadnt made the connection yet about my dream and the earthquake). They showed a picture of a building that was an apartment building or something with many levels, that had fallen almost straight down in on itself into a hollow cave-in. On a cell phone talking to a firefighter was a 15 yr old boy who had called into the radio station, to relay to the rescuers that he was trapped on the bottom of this crumbled building like 100 feet under ground with his dead father. The firefighter told him "don't worry it will take 3 days to pull you out". I almost spit out my coffee. I did immediatly get on my knees and talk straight to God! I just said ....whatever I had done, be it astral traveled or whatever to help console this boy, I realized the weight of what it meant, the responsibility it involved... you asked above how does a "guardian angel" do their job if they are living their own life. Its because the majority of all lightwork is done while you are asleep....

I'd say the experience you related (while I can neither confirm nor deny if it was true) is something that happens to a lot of people who are regular OBE'ers.  At a certain point you start having experiences of helping dead people make their transition or healing or consoling others while they are dreaming.  If this experience is true, it is likely the individual met with the boy while the boy was asleep.  Upon awakening the boy may not have even remembered the dream but somehow now felt a sense of calm because of the help from the other individual.  The more aware you become of your dreams, the more you will notice other guides helping you during your dream cycles.  There is truly a lot of work going on during sleep.  Just keep practicing your ability to become more aware and focussed and you won't have to ask people like me or that other person about our experiences. You'll be telling us your own.

I was in the real time zone.  When I wrote the example of being in the dark I was only using an analogy of what my experiences were like.  In reality I could see all around my room and I could feel my guides hands/body and hear his voice, but I couldn't see him with my astral eyes.  This happened on several occasions an he was attempting to get me to see him and I couldn't.  Instead of focussing on what I was doing I was trying to get HIM to appear to me... when it was ME all along that needed to change my focus in order to see him.  I think that many times our physical indoctrination along with fears and lack of focus make it difficult to see many aspects of the astral, including our guides.

Well i know they may come to me as a regular person. But there would be no way for me to try to call them or me to know it was them.

As to physical guides, we encounter these many times and don't even realize it as well.  How many times have you looked back on your life and realized that if you had listened to a certain person things would have been different, or been happy that you did listen to someone that changed your life completely?  How many times have individuals shown up in your life at just the right moment when you needed it?  Your guides will show up when they are needed... either in the form of another human, or an astral entity.  We can only learn by accomplishing things ourselves.  Guides and helpers will only help when they are truly needed.  They are like parents that help a baby stand up, then let go of their hands for a while so they can get used to walking on their own.  The moment they see the baby about to take a tumble they reach down quickly and do what they can to balance them out.  I know this isn't what you want to hear but, don't try so hard to contact your guides.  Try harder to be more aware yourself.  With that greater awareness will come the reward of interacting with your guides more closely.

I notice one thing about my perceptions in how they seem to be catalogued constantly. I think this might be helpful for some of us who have difficulty in finding a friend, a guide, a helper, etc..

Remember sometimes in meeting people, we intuitively "know" this person is on our wavelength? Daily we do screen checks on people, constantly! Some of us manage to practice a bit more openness, let's say to include more exotic types and disregarding conventional styles, fashion, weight issues, disfigurement, etc. We have filters too. Others have filters as well and they sometimes block us out. Sometimes that seems to hurt, until we let go and say, MEANT TO BE.

What I want to get to is this: I noticed that someone I meet reminds me of someone else, or I notice someone's posture reminded me of someone else. Lots of things go on in our minds. We are highly distracted usually. Some of us manage to not let things distract unless they have a "tag" that they do pertain to our subject at hand, a sort of relevancy in our life. Sometimes when I find a stray thought, I ask myself, did I will that thought? Or did someone just leave me a message? Is someone thinking of me?  Maybe that fine line would help anyone DISCERN if that voice is their own or coming from somewhere else. That takes practice at sensitivity. How? by racking your brains for proof that it is yours or not. I found this helpful. It tells me if I am just thinking of someone because I saw an old gift of theirs on my shelf, or there was a picture in the paper, or I happened to be clearing out my old emails.  Yet, this is a good test of discernment. What if in clearing out my old emails and "noticing" this old email from a friend is what provoked me to put down my fingers, and sit back and contemplate that person. Is that contemplation or is it real interaction with that being????? There are reminders everywhere, some more prominent, than others, does that mean that that prominency is in itself a high or accumulated priority due to failed attempts to get hold of me, or was I slow in responding back?  

This is probably all about being in the HERE NOW. What is happening right now!?!? Maybe that is where we could focus more upon, not on our LACK, our HAVENOTS, our longings, our problems, our bills, etc.. We learn daily to put aside time for ourselves to be in the herenow. Perhaps OBE is the HERENOW we long for.

Look how tenacious the subscribers are here. We are here for a reason. We know we want more of the herenow in the cosmos. We want the bigger picture. We want the real thing. Beyond fashion, beyond issues, beyond misunderstanding. We are finding out more each day that we are SOURCE? We are alone, yet we are IN ALL? IT is an interesting involution and expansion at the same time! Going more within and expanding so far out! All in one place! From where we project.

I noticed also in projection that there is "ME", the invisible sentient part of "ME" seemingly in one place AWARE of many things, aware of the fact that I am sleeping or meditating and doing something else. Things get finer each day from each added experience.

In reading your posts, I recapture part of myself, my creation, my creating. I can't tell you how much I enjoy your postings! It is more of a revelation every time I peek into these postings.

What I was thinking when I said about someone reminding me of someone else...I want to share this with you: one day, a woman lifted her arm and pointed with finger and said look over there!  As she said that, a great flash occured in my field of perception, I was not looking at what she intended! I instead halucinated another woman in her place doing the same thing, only that her clothes were different and this time it was pointing outside across the moors. Added were perceptions of wind, moisture, white garments, different hair, different context. It spooked me!!!!! Then I snapped back and looked at the intended object in question she was pointing at.

This tells me that countless of people have pointed for me. Countless. How is this going to be suppressed? Someone reminds me of someone. Ever have that happen to you. It also reveals to me constantly things outside this life. That is why I became a believer of past lives or merely time travel, or space travel. Whatever "time" that was or is.

Maybe to have more of this happen is to develop a mind that has an ability to pervceive with simultaneous layers. I would guess that those of you who purportedly "see" guides and angels, have this ability and trust to be able to do such.  It is developed. With an open mind. Maybe a more open mind. Maybe for those who have difficulty, could begin to "question" their bodies' sensations more and look further in awake hours to flex this muscle more. Look at things again.  

Another great way is called divination.  Look at the grain of wood pattern on a wall and tell yourself that THIS MOMENT, THIS WALL WILL TELL ME A MESSAGE THAT IS MOST PRESSING.  And watch relaxedly for this wall pattern to morph into something you need to know.  Divination is done with tea leaves, pictures on Tarot cards, etc.. They are like REMINDERS, like that lady who pointed in the horizon for me.

Another divination method I use that I take for granted daily is the act of sitting still or laying back asking myself WHAT IS IMPORTANT NOW? and all kinds of thoughts come rushing in competing for my attention.  Another divination method would be, what quality in the opposite sex do I want NOW? it tells me something about myself what void I want to experience. There are all kinds of things we can do with our awareness.

Someone seeking a guide may suggest he feels alone? I think the above suggestion about the opposite sex is something like that. Develop a notion of what you feel a guide may be like, a guide that you shall LOVE MOST and ENJOY for many meetings. Laughing, smiling, cherishing...most likely that is YOUR GUIDE? do you want your guide to be male, female, a fantasy, what kind of void do you want that being to share with you?  I think that this is what guides may be about? It is like a friend you made for yourself?

How many of you have danced alone? Then did not feel "alone"? I sometimes dance always feeling the ethers accomodating me and the vibes accomodating me. I never feel alone. Weird. It makes me feel like dancing all the time. Same goes for chanting. I feel there are other dimensional voices in chorus with me. It is up to you to add imagery, I guess. Just expect it.

Did this ring bells for anyone. I feel that your responses shall ring even more bells for me.

Omg I can't believe it! I astral projected for the 2nd time in my life. I was at my University room in Bath having an afternoon nap. I remember lying still with my eyes closed, I thought I was very conscious and I imagined about the vibration feelings that I had last time. All of a sudden, huge vibrations were running through me! It just happens like this nowadays very spontaneously. Usually I cannot project because I am sleeping on my front, but this time, I was on my back. At first, I had trouble exiting because my left arm wasn't in a relaxed position. My palm was facing up and near my head instead of by my waist. So I managed to move my arm down to a better position. Normally this ruins the vibrations but this time they carried on.

I mentally willed myself to astral project and after seeing what I remember pure white and some loud noises, I felt myself floating upwards. I couldn't see anything. I wanted to make sure I was really free of my body before opening my astral eyes. At this point, I felt as though I was in my room in London on my bed. It did not occur to me or seem strange.
Possibly because my 1st projection occurred in that same room and I do practise a lot in there when I visit home. I have a lot of strong astral projection related emotions with that room. When I willed my eyes to open, I could see my London room. I must have somehow teleported instantaneously to that location. It was very dark and distorted but I could make out it was my room. Some angular distortion. I commanded there to be light and I could see some parts of the room much better, like I had a torch light.

Most of the room was dark, and some thoughts did run through my mind of there being a demon or something around. Fear was setting in, I had to rid this and made myself braver. I have been wanting to meet my guardian angel for a few months now. I called out for her and immediately, a shadow appeared from above and in front of me. Then a hand was extended and I took it.

I don't know how, but the next minute I was immersed in another world. It was much like Earth, and full of vivid detail. I was in human form and I could see my angel who was Chinese looking, about 5ft 8", average to pretty looking, big eyes, darkish complexion. She was leading me somewhere, I think her home. It was night time, we were walking along what appeared to be a University grounds campus and I could see accommodation above us on a hill. I was so excited all I could say was "I can't believe I finally did it and have met you!". She did not appear as excited as me. Although we chatted, I can only recall a few sentences. First thing I did was ask her name. She told me "Elisa". I was concentrating so hard on this name to remember that I didn't ask much else whilst walking. I also thought about keeping the projection short otherwise I would have trouble recalling. But I had come too far and wanted to carry on. She told me that "In this place, the nights are warm", and indeed, it was comfortably warm even though it looked as though it has just rained.

We climbed some stairs. She looked tired and sweaty. She told me she had just finished playing a sport. I could not recognize the name she said, possibly tennis was the impression I was left with. I was just about to ask her what she thought of my life but then I lost control and was whizzed back to my body.

I know something amazing had happened because like last time, my body felt cold and "chilled", with an after feel of faint "buzzing".

When I awoke, I rang my sister back in London to see if my room was dark. She replied that the curtains were closed, my door half open, but the landing lights were off, so it WAS very dark in my room!

I am very excited about this as you can imagine. But I want to meet her again to confirm that the projection did not convert into a lucid dream at some stage.

No I haven't, life got busy with the new job and working life. After no more lazy university days, I didn't have any AP's or lucid dreams for almost one and a half years, but now I'm back!

My interest has risen back and I am determined to improve my energy raising skills and master AP'ing.

I will try and seek my guardian angel again in due course.
