Title: I just want to hang out in the RTZ
Post by: izalco on April 14, 2005, 17:01:58
Hi all,

I really dont want to astral project, but I want to hang out in the real time zone to check some things out. (does that make any sense?)

While I haven't fully APed, I have felt the vibrations, the sounds, and the spinning in my chest area (my charka), so I am close. I think I will be able to do it, because when I was a child I would see and hear ghosts, so I do have a little something, although it has since gone away when I turned 15 and I am 26 now, although sometimes I do see certain things.

Now, I dont want to go into a magical place where things are made by though, and I can imagine a gun to kill of the bad guys. This is what seems like the astral zone is, a place where you cant really tell what's real and what's not, because its to dream like. What I do want to do, see my body when I OBE, and see my room, and be able to go outside, and in a sense spy on things. I dont want to look a naked women or anything, but I want to be able to prove to others that I was there, yet not... no what I mean?

I am a little confused though as where I will go? When I first almost APed I was (lucid dreaming or already in the astral) , when I realized it I told my self to fly through the roof, heard the noise, felt the vibes, ect, yet I was in my room.

How can I go into the real time zone and stay there? I want to do experiments to see if its real, like have my cousin place a card in her room, go to her room and see if I can read it. I want to OBE in places where I am familiar with and see others.

Does anyone who AP's ever see real life people doing their daily or nightly routine? Like maybe go check up on an old friend, see what he's doing and call him later to tell him, he I saw you??? I just am a little confused as to what to expect, and really would like to walk around town.

Maybe there are others who want to do that, or who have done it?

Seems to me most people feel the way you do to begin with. First they want to have a wander around to see if it is real. It's something to get out of your system maybe.

Don't go flying off. In fact you don't need to go totally out, you can do all the experiments you want half out of your body. I would try sitting up to start with and looking around. If you see the room and something catches your attention, 'decide' to move towards it. Time will be limited in this half-out state, but it is long enough to check a few things.

The card thing. Don't make it harder for yourself than you need to. It is not easy going where you want, other rooms are nice in theory but unless you happen to be particulary good/lucky you won't go there. There is a problem of 'will' you see. Whatever your intentions when you come to project you don't have the same need to prove it once you have projected. Also the longer you are out the less reliable the environment can become. So you might not get the card you want or even anything recognisable. Put the card near you, even put it between your feet, as long you don't look at it you won't be cheating. This gives you every chance of seeing it immediately should you project or half project.

The way I would do this if I had the need to would be to lay on the sofa during the day and attempt it. Put the card with your eyes closed at the end of the sofa so you can sit up and read it. Now you might be thinking, how do I know if I sat up 'astrally' or just sat up? Well if you scrunch up a ball of something very light, like toilet paper, and lay it on your chest, if you sat up you will see it has rolled off (although I can tell you you never ever sit up really, but it is nice to confirm it). Other people in the room may well appear, or might not be there. If they are reading or watching TV or whatever you can quickly note that and wake up and confirm it.

The quicker you are the less chance things will change, which is why I recommend only sitting up rather than leaving totally, and as the excercise is only about attempting to prove it in some way, fully exiting is unnesessary.

I think in time we grow out of these needs, for one thing because it is too hard for most, and for another usually proves inconclusive. I think the real clincher for most people is that they are fully conscious and that's enough, but good luck.

it seems to me that "hanging out" in the real time zone, is something that takes alot of power or development?

Whats the longest members here have spent in the real time zone?

I have never spent more than a minute in the RTZ.  I am fairly new at this, I can now project when I want, but only been in the RTZ 3 times.  It is hard to stay there and not be thrust into a lucid dream or some other place.  You have a stray thought about something or let your concentration slip a bit and biggity bam your either back in your body, dreaming, or somewhere else.  Good luck!!!  Just getting out was enough for me in the beginning.  It is absolutely incredible the first few times, something you never forget.  I promise you will feel the same.

Yeah I can't spend too long in the RTZ.  Where when I go to the astral plane(albeit I get there accidentally), I can stay out a lot longer.

But while the RTZ seems more "real" than the Astral Plane it is still dream like in some ways.  Such as when you remember it it's remembered like a dream.

And my projection today for example...I went outside and it was foggy for some reason and kind of gloomy.  So I willed the fog to roll back and willed the sun to come out and shine, and it did just that.

Everything is really volatile no matter where you are so I wouldn't be too concerned with what's real and what's not.

that's an interesting post tom.  I have had many obes, maybe in the neighborhood of 20, and only 3 have started in the RTZ.  Usually my technique is just letting my body go to sleep, then I just wait.  I usually feel strange sensations and such, occasionally vibrations, and then BAM I feel a rushing sensation and everything fades to white and then I am wherever I am.  I use no exit technique at all.  Even when I have the intent of getting out in my room I end up somewhere else most of the time.  The only technique i guess I have been trying recently is feeling my doubles hands grabbing onto either the edge of my bed and pulling hard to get out or trying to pull myself through my window, but it only helps to get out, I don't actually pull myself out through my window or by my bed.  Ive never rolled out of my body, which seems to be the common technique.

Once my friend A was gone traveling about the country. He had been gone for a very long time and I really wanted to touch base with him.

To make a long story short, going through that
universe of stars, and then the stars swirling all about till the one I'm looking for stops in front of me...then to look into it, the 'door'gets bigger and there is A. He's laying under some trees. The light all about him is greenish like it's coming through
the trees, but I don't know what kind of trees they are. He's chewing on something that he's holding in his hand, I don't know what. Then he looks toward me and squints a bit...

Well, the next day he calls me. "Hi, was that you? What do you want? Is everything ok?" and I ask him, "what kind of trees were those? and what were you chewing on?"...he tells me they were eucalyptus trees, he's in Ca and he was chewing on a grass while relaxing between seminars.

I think it's not something people talk about too often, but maybe here is a good place to talk :)
Problem is, I was not 'sleeping for hours' first...I was meditating and fell asleep early in the eve. I was meditating on A, trying very hard to send some energy to him so that he may feel it and
call me, so when I fell asleep I was totally concentrating on this. But it only works for me this way if I actually know and care about someone.
Go figure?

Would this be considered RTZ? I have always called it the Soul Phone...LOL

Thanks,
Elew

Well it was some kind of real-time experience surely, but what a fine experience!

I think anyone can learn how to do this, but the person on the other end needs to be very aware and know how to feel/see that slight shift in the energy around them...at least if they are awake.

I've always wondered what it was I was doing, but for lack of knowledge everyone who knows me calls it the Soul Phone.

If anyone knows I would love to find out :)
