You can find the techniques he shares in his books anywhere, they're not exactly new.

His personal opinions can safely be ignored though.  He's a materialist, plain and simple.  He believes these are experiences created by your brain, and then when you die, POOF!  You don't exist anymore. 

Use the techniques, ignore the rest.
