hi

my first lanuage not english - so I hope what I write here will make sense

My grandmother passed away 12 years ago, and the night before she died was the first time I experienced terrible humming buzzing sound all through the night and I was hanging on the ceiling watching myself slept in my bed. I thought at that stage i was just having nightmares, and very bad dreasms. The next morning at about 5am, the hospital contaced me to tell me she passed away during the night. So my first question is - was that an OBE and then is there any relevance to her passing away, and me having an OBE or was it coincedence?

After that night it happend more frequently. I'd say sometimes weekly and then for months nothing, and then again sometimes 2 days in a row. I always thought it was just bad nightmares until I did some research and found out about OBE's.

Now my next question:

Lately what happens about every second week, sometimes more, that just when I'm almost asleep, I hear the humming and buzzing sound which can get annoying, but I also feel like i am getting sucked out of my body to a very dark place. Although the dark place "feels" like it could be - to the stars, and being dark because its night. I normally think wow here I'm going again. But it is if I have no control over it, or my body or astrall body. I have never experience like you guys, that I can climb out of my body. It is ALWAYS as if somethng like a massive vacuum cleaner sucks me out of my body towards the stars. I try to control it in my mind and will keep on telling myself that I want to go certain places, but then normally it is as if I return to my body in bed.

Just for more information - I cannot recall that I see my body on my bed when this happens. It feels like my eyes could be closed. I was just wondering about the sucking - and I must say it is with quite a speed.

I sometimes also experience spinning  through my house and through walls. But I never have control over this. The spinning is quite scary - and I normally try to wake myself up.

Please explain to me what this all means.

My projection experiences are only once a month or so, but I have never seen my body.

Last time, I made a point to look over at the chair I sit in, and it was hazy, blocking the view of my body

I still remember when I was very young, and would uncontrollably float up with anxiety of going up into space.

It might help for you to have a plan, with intentions to have control. Rehearse some commands to say, for example, "stand up" "stop spinning",
"clarity now".

Keep researching the AP forum, and sticky topics, you'll find more than enough good advice.

thanks!

Yes you are right, I need to get some control over this. Its not the easiest thing, but the spinning causes confusion and it is scary...so that is what I wil try.

Thank you

Hi mieka

I don't know if it helps, but when I was quite young my first experiences were a bit unpleasant.  I would "dream" occasionally that I was walking around the house, but everything was dim and a bit foggy.  I would try to switch on the lights but they would never work.  The best I could do was to get a dim glow out of any electric bulb.  These "dreams" were of a different quality to ordinary dreams and i knew they were different in some way.  Later when I learnt to project I was able to have clear vision and the house was now friendly.  But the first time I tried to operate a light switch in an OBE it was exactly like the "dream of the fog" - the light wouldn't come on.  In that moment (in my OBE) I recalled the "dream of the fog" and realised that what I had been experiencing in those strange dreams was the first glimmerings of OBE.

Sometimes in OBE I think we are in a half-way state (the "fog").  I think you need to try to gain control as InnerVoyager says.  Your spinning around the house reminds me of my "dream of the fog".  It would help if you say to yourself "This is my dream and I can control it" (call it a dream if you like).  Take charge.  Ask for clarity.  Try to "see" clearly.  If you are able to actually get out of the house I think that would be a great help. Strangley, moving out of the house can actually move you into a new "environment" (you can actually end up in a location quite different from where you live).  It's a bit symbolical. Leaving your house is like leaving the earth locale and you enter a new locale which is clear and bright.  Often in my case simply leaving my bedroom has exactly this effect. When I'm in my bedroom all is a bit dark and unclear. As soon as I step out into the hall I can see clearly and I am no longer in my house.  I can be in a strange house, or quite commonly, in the house I grew up in.

When you are zooming out into space, try slowing it down, stopping and reversing. Try zooming back down, demand "Clarity!" and you might come back down into a clear (but probably unfamiliar) new environment.

I think you obvioulsy have some sort of disposition to leaving your body and a dim awareness of it, but now you need to try to raise your awareness and control the experience.

It might also help if you try to deliberately induce these experiences in the morning after 4 or 5 hours sound sleep. I find this to be by far the best time to OBE.  Your body has had half a good night's sleep and is now very relaxed and ready to project.  Simply when you wake up in the early hours, try to just "beam across" the room, or spin out of your body, or simply just float up or just roll out of bed.  If you're lucky you will feel the sensation and your physical body won't move.  Then leave the bedroom and THEN try to open your eyes.  If succesful you should be able to see.  If you fail you might end up opening your physical eyes and end the experience.

Hope this helps....!  :-)
