I think I'm on the OOBE path..Suggestions?

2. Have the intention to do it always!

3. Try not to think negativly about OBE's every now and then.

Music works for some and does not work for others. So I suggest you give the music a shot.

This is kind of a lame answer but falling asleep is a good technique.  The reason is that when asleep you become extremely relaxed; relaxed enough to go into the rigid/paralysis state befor your mind has time to get bored and wander.  The hard part is to not go back to sleep at this point.  

The rest of the technique is:
Once awake, to let your passive will (imagine it [actually don't even imagine anything]as a kind older person) take you into the trance state.  Don't TRY, LET it happen.  Enjoy the relaxation and let yourself go into it further.

Ramiel in my experience  the most helpful thing to know  is  how to meditate,  i suggest  you  learn to do that before  you  try exiting.

I still cant project at will,  but  learning to still my mind  has made it a lot  clearer on  what  state of mind i should be in to project, my problem is  excitement, which causes tension which causes me to fall back to base level awareness.

Beavis, I always felt there was something to be learnt in all these exercises. It can be fun and enjoyable but you shouldn't toy around with it just for the sake of having a few laughs.

Do you disagree?

Toying with astral usually increases my skill faster than serious or procedural excercises, so I do that more often.

Oh I agree 100% there, but in terms of using it for personal gain or because you're bored, as opposed to having a need or purpose was what I was trying to get at.

Like its a tool for people who are mature enough to handle it, doesn't mean you can't have fun and enjoy yourself so long as you respect it.

Well if your doing it because you are bored, thats just not right. If you are a expert at it and can do it when ever you want, then its diffrent.

I'm not doing it because I'M bored, just stating that it shouldn't be done for false reasons.

I have a purpose for doing it: to merge physical and astral around me.

I do it when I'm bored and when I'm not bored.

Ok well last night I decided to lye down in bed, arms and legs all extended. I did a energy technique and just let my body go. First I had the energy hibernation thing, then it was like my astral body or energy, or something was inching slowly out of the physical because i started to feel something pulling out from me.

Then my body went numb all over and it was difficult to move. I experienced...vibrations but not. Like my body had vibrations around my shoulders and back, my arms, and my legs at different periods but I dont think they were the real deal. I fell asleep and someone (Guide I think) was nice enough to slam a door inside my head (thats the sound I had when I woke up) so I kept going.

After a couple hours I let myself go. So I think I'm getting closer. Might have gotten to the stage if I had used BWGEen

However one very interesting thing was I woke up at 2:30am laughing and going "hahah, yeah, I'll act normal" or "yeah ill stop training myself now" or something like that, in a sarcastic tone.

Makes me wonder what happend in the dream, damn my horrible recall.

Well last night I decided to "play around" (no I don't consider any of these as games) with the concept of an OOBE experience. Seeing which areas I've got down pat and which I need attention on attaining.

So I'm in bed, after having done some reading, and as I relax my body first my arms and then my legs..Well I can feel energy inside me so its as if the energy "hibernates" and my limbs shut off. I can still feel them and can control them, but its like they go into 'Stand By' mode. The energy feels like only a fraction of it is now flowing.

Just to see what happens, I visualize my Astral body being above my physical one, and trying to leave the physical to go to it, and it felt as though my energy was getting really erratic. I was still calm and relaxed, it was as if it was trying to leave and as it got a little closer to leaving some chains pulled it back again inside of me (although I didn't feel that it had left)

In the end I just ended up falling asleep. Whats a good concentration technique to get your brainwaves to the appropriate stage? Also is music highly recommended? I felt like I could have done it if I was in the right state of conciousness.
