Just had an idea which I thought could possibly trick the body into having the vibrations to exit from. Tell me if you think its any good.

I thought before you went to bed you could attach 2 vibrating devices to the bottom of your feet before and don't have them turned on but have them set on a timer so they both start to vibrate around 6 or so hours later (when your asleep probably in REM stage) this way when your asleep you can feel the vibrations (very low and not high to prevent waking up) and you may be prompted subconsciously to think these are the real vibrations thus then the body would prompt itself to cause the real vibrations to start throughout the body. Then if you gain any form of lucidity you can use an exit technique to leave your body.

What do you guys think? not a bad idea or stupid? its tricking your body basically to think its the real vibrations and therefore would create its own.

Interesting idea!

Maybe tonight I'll set my iphone to silent/vibrate, set the alarm for 3am and tape it to my foot! :-D
Be yourself; everyone else is already taken.

I believe there are devices out in the market which emulate this exact kind of thing.

There is? you sure? can you point me in the right direction here?

Anyone else have anything to add? and are you sure about the vibrational devices?

There's far more where the eye can't see.
Close your eyes and open your mind.

I for one believe that this wouldnt work well atleast for me because the vibrations one feels right before or during an OOBE/OBE are non-physical.Its not like your physical body is actually vibrating and twitching.

That reminds me of an idea that I had.  I use to lay back in a recliner and try to learn how to project.  Some techniques have you imagine that you are floating up or rising out of the body, or imagine that you're in an elevator going up or down.  Some have you imagine moving your astral limbs.  I thought that if I could somehow get my recliner to slowly rise up and down every so many seconds, maybe 20 minutes into my mediation, then maybe it could help me to disassociate from the physical body and exit.

But, I'm not sure how you would do something like that.  You wouldn't necessarily have to use a recliner.  Could make something else to lay on that doesn't weigh as much, but I'm not sure how you could go about getting it to move up and down.

I don't know because you're already aware that you have 2 vibraters at the end of your feet.

If it was this simple, I think it would have already been done by now. But regardless, not everyone gets these vibrations. Some people have a "smooth transition" from the physical to the astral. So it would obviously not work for everyone anyway.

Exactly.

I don't believe this would work??? simply because the vibration you are looking for is more of a mental one than a physical one, If I woke up to my feet vibrating it would put my main focus on my physical body and regarding projection, you are aiming to direct your main focus away from that.

It does not sound much different than waking up six hours later and trying to ap.  You can still be in that meditative state.    It will not do any harm in trying.    Give it a go and let us know how it went.    If it does not work, keep trying for a while.   It might take a while for it to work.
