I started projecting maybe 3 or 4 years ago.  Recently I've kinda stopped because it didn't make any sense to me.

Anyway I was talking to my friend last night and he said that he can look at people and sort of identify the person.  Basically each person who is "awake" has a magnetic pull towards light or dark.  If they aren't awake then they aren't pulled towards either.  Well I asked what he saw when he looked at me and he said that I'm definitely awake but that I'm unable to percieve what's good or bad.  When I thought about that it kind of made sense.  Every projection I've had, unless the person/thing attacks me I have no idea what the heck they are.  I've seen plenty of dogs(friendly and aggressive), gnomes(they were working with the land near my house), and all kinds of different people(most of them friendly).  He said that it's probably not a good thing to entertain entities that you're unsure of.

Does anyone else have the same ability as my friend?  Or has anyone had the experiences I have?

I would be careful putting too much faith in your friend. If he has such a gift (which I doubt) he would be much more carefull with his counsel. No offence but I think that your friend is blowing up or imagining this gift quite a bit.

Just my opinion

Words.....there was a time when I believed in words!

What do you mean more careful with his counsel?  I've known him for a couple of years and this is the first time we've really talked about any of this.

Well he's said that he has seen negative entities(which he called demons) and described them in the way that I've both seen and read about.  He said that he could always see ghosts and what not as well.

So you'd recommend that I just keep doing what I'm doing?  So far anything I've met has yet to linger or affect me in my physical life.  He doesn't know anything about astral projection though.

Personally, I don't worry about things like that. Good, and bad I mean. Not while projecting anyways. I don't do all of the protecting stuff, like imaging a sheild around me, or praying, or any of that. For me, there is no reason that I have to need protection. Just about anyone/thing that I have "met" either tend to be helpful or just don't communicate with me at all, for whatever reasons. Maybe they don't know where they are, or maybe they just want to talk, I don't really know for sure, because they were lacking in the communications department. I've met one or two of these "un-friendly" types, and there wasn't really any problem. They didn't try to kill me, or threaten me in any way, I just thought that they seemed a bit rude, like they woke up on the wrong side of the bed. I put them out of my mind (literally) and they were gone. Problem solved. Maybe I'm just not experienced enough and I have never met one of these terrible big threating monsters that people want protection from, or maybe I just don't think about them, and hence avoid creating them, who knows? I've never experienced any pain (physical or astral (if possible?) from going out of body. I feel safe and secure every time I project. Maybe your friend is looking for attention, or maybe even acceptance, but in my opinnion you are safe in the astral, from anyone/thing, as long as you believe so. And if you get scared or start feeling unsure about your environment, just remember your body, and BAM, problem solved. It really is all up to you
You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. Perhaps some day you'll join us, and the world will live as one.
