Looking to discuss waking up inside a dreeam and dream signs before Lucid Dreaming and Astral Projecting. Thanks for Replying

Isn't 'waking up inside a dream' the same thing as 'dreaming and suddenly becoming lucid?'

kpb256

No, I mean like you are dreaming and wakeup and realize you are i a dream within a dream, not clarity.

Plasma

You mean actually conscious??!

kpb256

No, I mean like you are dreaming and then wake up, only to realize that you are still dreaming, not necessarily lucid, certainly not conscious. Just a later realization, most of the time after you do actually wake up that you woke up in your dream.

I think you mean a false awakening. When you are dreaming and then think that you have awakened only to find out that you are still dreaming. That's an interesting phenomena however it's not necessarily an OBE or what I would suggest you strive for.

Here's an interesting series of false awakenings that I experienced once upon a time when i was still able to have OBEs. :) I will be glad when my dry spell is over.

Well to call it "wake up within a dream" would imply consciousness. Consciousness is not there.

dbmathis

Right, which is why it's called "false". Because one didn't actually wake up.

I have had dreams in the past where I dreamed I was dreaming. Those are some strange dreams :-)

Stookie

Maybe he means waking up and remembering a dream about a false awaking. Not conscious, not lucid. Just a dream about it.

I had these dreams too, in which I would dream that I was tired laid down to sleep only to dream again. In some of these dreams I would even wake back up in the previous dream recounting the dream I just had lol.

I've dreamt about dreaming too :p I think thats what hes talking about???

I was having a lucid dream and lost control, had a false awakening and started to dream non lucid. Is that what you mean?

Or are you saying have you ever woken up from reality and realized that reality is just a dream and then you woke up back into reality?

"False Awakenings" is what I meant to discuss.

Also, I have noticed that many of my lucid dreams are preceded by me being in different vehicles backing up and unable to apply the brakes and stop the vehicle.

Another dream sign that I have noticed is anything intimate or sexual occurrence, my dream body splits into a solid looking body and a see through body, especially when phasing through a wall or solid object. When the solid looking body makes it way through the wall or object, the see through body falls back into the solid body. Very cool feeling.

whenever I have false awakenings, they are _terrible_

well, actually, most of my dreams are either nightmares or terribly strange. Oh well.
