If you have loads of free time, what would be an ideal way to fit and OBE timetable into this? Something like the "lazy person" way.
The great thing about that situation is being able to practice when it's best for you. Try at different times during the day and find out what works best. My weekend meditations tend to be much deeper than weekday meditations because I can do it at 10 AM, which seems to be my "sweet spot".
Donal,
Start tracking your experiences in a spreadsheet and write down all journals. Once you have enough data compiled it will give you a better understanding and the picture is painted clear.

I would recommend the night before the free day to try to project before bed and set your alarm way earlier than you plan on getting up. Lets say you normally get up at 10. Set your alarm for 6. Roll over, turn off your alarm clock, set it for 6:45 and drift back to sleep, when it goes off the next time you should be foggy in the head and still pretty much in a trance state. Set your alarm clock for 8 and try to project. If you fall asleep you will be awoken at 8 and repeat this cycle until you would normally get up. You will probably be tired at 10 but you have all day to sleep if you feel the need to! This is how I spend my free days during the morning hours and I generally have an easy time of projecting using this method which is a variation of a practice called rythm napping. Search for it on these forums if you dont know what it is already it has been covered extensively.
