That fix above is only for upgrades.  In other words, the extracted Journal.exe can't be run by itself.  It has to overwrite the existing Journal.exe on your system.

To be safe, you should just install the whole thing by clicking this link:  http://www.obejournal.com/Files/OBEJournal_1_00_01.zip

Jeff-

I have to say, I'm extremely impressed with your coding.  How long have you coded?  Also what types of languages do you use?  I use to program, way back in h.s.  Those days are gone [:D]  Thanks for making Our experiences more enjoyable with your logger!

Why thank you!

I have been programming now for almost 4 years.  I got a job as a web designer for this company, and after designing their website, I expressed a desire to learn how to program.  Then I bought all the books and began to practice my butt off.

I first programmed in C. Then I learned C#, and that is what I currently program in.  I can read a lot of programming languages (like VB, Perl, etc) but I wouldn't be able to design anything in them.

You're welcome.  Glad you like it.  It's always been an excellent tool for me and my OBE progress, and I only hope others benefit the same from it.

You can download the framework here: http://www.asp.net/download-1.1.aspx?tabindex=0&tabid=1

It also mentions this on the download page of the OBE Journal website.

Hmmm, this is kind of a vague error.  I will be releasing another version soon which will be more descriptive in its error reporting.  Then you can download the newer version and tell me what it says.

To my knowledge, there wasn't any link I posted which required you to have a password.  Perhaps you could type the link out so I can see what you mean.

Remember, people, that I have a help forum for this program here: http://www.obejournal.com/Forums  There is no need to pollute the Astral Pulse forum with tech support questions for the OBE Journal.

Or you can contact me via email (mailto:jeff@myjokemail.com)

Hi Jeff.  I look forward to downloading your journal and appreciate all the work that you have done to make this possible.  In your experience working with the journal have you been able to pin-point any factors that will indicate the most favorable time to attempt AP's?  I never attempt to AP at bedtime, I always wait till the early A.M. hours when I come back to bed from a bathroom break. I am still relaxed and I can always tell when I will have a chance to AP because I will get the vibrations almost immediately after I lie down in the bed, and then if I don't screw up the exit then all goes well. If I don't get the vibrations immediately then I could lay there for long periods of time and never get the vibrations. So, If I don't get them soon after getting back into bed then I just go back to sleep and wait for the next time to try.  It would be very helpful if your journal could plot favorable dates for attempts based on previous criteria.  You have used the journal for some time now and I thought that maybe you might have discovered contributing factors.  Thanks for your fine contribution.  Regards,  Centa Five

Hey guys,

Sorry to make this announcement so soon after the 1.00.01 release of the program, but I found a very big bug with the last release that had to do with registration.

If you already have the program, here is what you can do to fix it so it doesn't affect you.

1) Click this link and unzip the file: http://www.obejournal.com/Files/Journal.zip

2) Unzip the file by right clicking it and extracting it.

3) Put the extracted file (called Journal.exe) in the directory the program is installed in.  This should probably be "C:\Program Files\MyJokeMail.com\OBE Journal\" by default, unless you changed it.

That's it!  If you have any questions, or if you need further help getting this fixed, let me know.  Or you could uninstall the program and re-run the setup file at this link: http://www.obejournal.com/Files/OBEJournal_1_00_01.zip
