I would hazard an educated guess that any alien race with advanced technology (like interstellar travel) would most probably have figured out how to travel through the higher dimensions. Such higher dimensional abilities would make space travel much faster. Also it is reasonable to assume that such an advanced civilization would be far advanced spiritually. So perhaps OBEs and astral travel are normal, everyday happenings with those ETS.

spacefaring aliens would atleast know how to access "hyperspace?" for faster then light travel. I think the elite of this world knows how to enter hyperspace. Philadelphia experiment and all that...

The way I see it is if they have to use technology such as machines or flying devices to travel to other parts of the Universe then they are not very advanced.  But that's just my opinion.
