Interesting that another gets this.

I find when im watching a lot of trailers i get incredible amounts of energy just inundating my body. Quite surreal really. The same thing happens during powerful scenes in movies. Most recent was The Last Samurai which I saw a few days ago. Some scenes there just ripped me apart in terms of the intensity - I came close to crying on occasions. It wasn't painful just unbelievably overwhelming.

No idea what causes it.

I'm also often deeply affected by moments in film or television, as well as music and occaisionally visual art, but I've never really noticed energy movement sensations (aside from a cold chill or goosebumps). Return of the King was an incredible film and I do believe I was moved to tears in more than one instance. I need to go see it again! Cheers.

That's exactly what I'm Tolkien about [;)]

Floods of energy during massive battle scenes, trailers, deep emotional scenes etc...
I find watching films on DVDs one of the best means of meditation. Especially those films I know word by word (like Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, Gladiator...) I just turn up the volume, close my eyes and watch the film in my imagination. It's even greater experience than actually watching it on real screen. There's also a topic in the Magic section with a very interesting article about Tolkien's Middle-Earth. Do you see a parallel between the legends of Atlantis and Numenor? But there's another topic about that, so let's talk here about these strange sensations...

Quite the strange thing, I think I remember getting vibes at that point. Although I also got them when the Orcs started to attack Rohan, I was on the edge of my seat and I swear I could feel energy coursing through my body.  More likely it was from adrenaline, but I could feel things around me too, also strange is the fact that my freind had the same experience.

Hi,
yesterday I finally saw the Return of the King movie. I won't bother you with saying that it's the best movie I've ever seen (which it is [;)]) but let's get to the point:

It was in the scene when Faramir and his men were fleeing from Osgiliath followed by some Nazguls and Gandalf rode to help them. In the moment when the white light flashed from his staff I started to feel these vibrations as if the light passed through my body. It was quite similar to a sensation when I move energy through my body (NEW) but much stronger. It may be an association (or Pavlov reflex) because I imagine white light flowing through my body when I want to heal something. Did anybody have the same feeling? BTW did you like the movie? And did you weep? [:)]

Any information will be appreciated,
Arthelion
