Inducing Astral Sight?

Hi . . . you can call it Astral sight if you want to . . . it kind of just "is what it is . . . . ."

Once I opened my eyes and part of my bedroom wall was ripped away so that I could see the outdoors . . .  freaky.

I consider it an inbetween state, between in-body and out-of-body.  I think Mr. Bruce might say something about it in his book . . . but I don't remember.   I don't know how to induce it either!

Hi Tisha,
Thanks for the feedback. Astral Dynamics does speak of Astral Sight in chapter 5. This section however chiefly deals with 'Remote-Eye Projection'. I'm interested in simply knowing how to induce astral sight so I can sort of look around from within my own body but behind closed eyelids.

You say part of your bedroom wall was ripped away...that sounds really interesting http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_big.gif" border=0> I wish I could experience something like that http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0> I just hope that there's a way to induce this state.

I had a similar experience before. I was lieing down trying to project. I was in a trance state and after awhile I got tired and just felt like I could not project. So I decided to open my eyes and stop. Well I opened my eyes and was looking up at the light on the ceiling. The light looked like it was on, the thing is it was not on when I started trying to project. In fact the room was very sunny. I then remembered that it was so sunny that I put a blindfold over my eyes so I should not be able to see anything. Then the "scene" faded out and everything was black. I removed the blind fold and the room was how I left it when I laid down. I am not sure exact how to do this. I may have been just slightly outside my body and did not realize it. This was when I was first learning to project so I did not have a lot of experience with astral sight or real time sight or whatever this is. I guess it would be similar to projecting.

Alice had got so much into the way of expecting nothing but out-of-the-way things to happen, that it seemed quite dull and stupid for life to go on in the common way.

I get glimpses of astral sight whenever I meditate.  I try to have an obe but all I get is glimpses of the wall or ceiling - I'm over the fascination of it, want to get out, not just see out.  I feel as though it's the first step in getting out of body, maybe most people leave the body without noticing the astral sight, or maybe they just leave the body without looking out of it first.

In order for me to have a still mind, I distract my mind from thought by looking at what is going on behind my eyelids, shapes, colours etc., wether I can see anything, something to focus on.  And when my mind goes blank, I suddenly realize I am looking at the wall/ceiling/window.

Ooh, that helps, thanks. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0> Something that's been helpful to me -- I just finished reading The Power of NOW. If you have the money, and the inclination to wade through it, it's got some great stuff for going above the mind (thereby quieting it). This state so far seems to be a great base for attempting just about anything. The book is about enlightenment. http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0>

I will check this out, thanks Mark, anything to tame the mad monkey.

I cant induce astral sight when im awake.  Although I can see light/energy
if I try.  I noticed If I try to open my astral sight in my dreams it works alot better then when awake.  I think this has to do with the physical body
and brain pathways & energy pathways have to be built to use it
while awake.  I also notcied that if I have it open when Im sleeping then
wake up.  Sometimes I do have astral sight when I wake up which
then becomes smaller and goes away like a tv going off in slow motion.
It does this even though I am concentrating and trying to open it.
On dream websight they called this hypnogogic imagery.  Im not sure but
some times I think it might not be astral sight of the near astral in my room.
One time I know I had astral sight the only time I saw a orb in my room.
another time I opened it in my sleep, I think I had a sleep obe,  I saw a baby head so I decided to wave to it, then tentacles came out of its mouth & it attacked my hand then I hit it with my other hand & it ran away.
other times they seem like holographic overlays of random things.
One time I saw a drawing of a demon,  another that 1 painting of
that elderly couple on a farm,  1 time a flower pot, & 1 time a half blue & red flag with stars.

Looking at the things behind your eyelids is so useful for so many things. I used to use it for getting to sleep before I became interested in anything spiritual.

When someone asks me what something is like that is really hard to explain, like some sort of spiritual experience I tell them this : Close your eyes and tell me whats behind them. What shape are they? What colour are they? What pattern do they make?

Most sort of go "uh.. well kinda... you know.. white but sometimes yellow and sorta streaky but sometimes they move in shapes". And then I tell them that is exactly how hard it is to explain whatever they were asking about.

Personal experience is so important :)

I tried to open my 3rd eye in my sleep last night.
Well I was naked in my dreams so I used it to
summon jeeves to bring me new clothes hehe.
I guess not tradditinal 3rd eye stuff.
but a good example of dream manipulation

it happened to me one time I induced what robert calls astral sight.  I was just saying a simple prayer for my bro and saying it over and over again while I was in my bed and would wake up say it fall back to sleep but one time I said it whie falling back to sleep and next thing you know I was in the first floor of my house maybe my bro was in that room at the time, I couldn't move around or anything just stuck at that position then next thing ya know I turn my head and then the scene switched and I see the blind shades and light coming into my room (realized I was in my body looking with my eyelids closed) freaky stuff.  I think one can induce astral sight if thinking about someone or praying for someone.

I've had a kind of astral sight experience a few  times recently. I'm just about to fall asleep when I realize that I can see a silvery outline of the room. It usually takes a little while to realize that m eyes are closed. A nice feeling though.
A couple of times I've opened my eyes to verify that the room is too dark to see anything then closed them again only to end up with the same outlined view.

To induce look at the room before you start doing your work. Then go into trance and try to visualize what you remember. It works better after stimulating your brow chakra. After stimulating this chakra the sight goes from black to gray. Then do the visual recall.

This is not perfect. It works marginally. SO I'll monitor this thread for better ideas. I'm also looking forward to profecient astral sight.

Lysear

yeah this tends to happen to me when I try to project and i have been laying down for a while, although I didnt know what it was until I read astral dynamics

Hi all,
I remember awhile ago I had what I think was an astral sight experience. I woke up and was just staring at my wall for what must have been about 10 to 15 minutes. I then work up again http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile.gif" border=0> and opened my physical eyes only to discover that my head was under my quilt. I then started asking myself the obvious questions. I concluded that I couldn't come up with a reasonable conclusion which at the time seemed like a pretty fair conclusion to me http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/images/icon_Smile_cool.gif" border=0>

With hindsight (not astral sight) I think I can say that this was an astral sight experience. I'm just wondering if anybody knows of a way how I can induce this state because I'd like to experience and explore it some more now that I understand (to a degree) what it is.

Thanks.
