this is if you can't ap but you can easily ap within dreams. this method works 50% of the time. Some say to sleep 8 hours then wakeup but personally I am too wide awake, the least sleep to get is atleast 5hours then wakeup wash your face, stay alert for 30mins to an hour (wake up your mind so to speak) then afterwards drop back down to sleep while being alert ie you can do breath awareness and look at the dream images, soon as the images form into a dream snap your awareness into place start starring/observing the objects but don't participate in them cause you know its all fake then all of a sudden it should shut down and you should be in your bed looking through your closed eyelids then SLOWLY crawl out don't force cause it won't work, if it tries to slip back into a dream again and you didn't get out do same procedure ie stare/observe at objects again til it shuts down. Now if you want your ap's to last longer you have to practice awareness all day so you are aware when you sleep, mysticweb.org describes it well they offer free courses in ap.

I've often turned from the norm. when it comes to interrupted sleep methods. Most will mention waking up in the middle of the night, and staying up for 30 minutes or more. I've found that If I wake up in the middle of the night naturally(drink a glass of water before you go to bed, and your body will get you up for the bathroom visit a few hours later), that a mere 5 minutes to go to the bathroom is sufficient. I try to keep the sleep state in focus, so that it can be recogized and easily broken out of.
The only obstacle that you may encounter is as follows: You may have been enjoying your sleep so much that when you get back in bed, your weigh wanting to get more sleep over having an OBE. Your will to have an OBE over sleep much be firm.
