Title: Introduction to myself.
Post by: Risu no Kairu on March 09, 2004, 02:09:11
How do you know it was an angel? If it took you flying through the clouds, wouldn't that have been your first out of body experience?

Anyways, the sounds you hear when you're drifting off to sleep are a common phenomena in the OBE community. People don't know what causes them. We don't know if you're picking up on astral or  physical plane noises and entities, if its memories flooding into your head, or if its merely hallucination. We do know that it's nothing to be afraid of. It only seems to last while you're in the hypnogogic state.  If you fall asleep, wake up, or  project, you won't hear it any more.

Well, it is hard to explain.  Have you ever felt a great connection to something or someone?  Even though the memories are now distance  and sometimes are confused with other memories.  Well I always felt that she was an angel.  I remember how she touched my eyes and whispered "This will help you see better" in my ears.

Welcome to the forums!

I believe you have and continue to experience journeys out of your body, for lack of a better term.  We all look forward to hearing more from you.

Sorry for resurrecting this thread, but I just have to confirm the title.

Please don't go to a psychiatrist if you're interested in OBE's. The best thing you can do is learn how to love, and practice loving and patience. That's the most important thing.

Mental health practitioners mean well, but by principle they're forcibly ignorant - the therapist/patient relationship means that one person's mind needs to be changed, and it's not the therapist's. It's their job to be closed-minded listeners.

Skipping a great deal of details - when I was a freshman in college, a psychiatrist and a therapist lead me to believe I was schizophrenically depressed, and put me on a cocktail of medication. In a word, they were deathly dreadful. Believing I was worthless in every way, I pushed away the girl I loved, for more than a year - she wouldn't leave because she loved me, but time gave way and she left, especially when I told her I would no longer take medication, but learn whatever it was I needed on my own.

I found all I needed to do was to learn how to love. I went back to my ex-girlfriend as I started to get my life back together, but she had found someone else. It's been a year, I get A's and B's, I lost 40 lbs, and I look and feel great. I know how to love with all my heart, and I know patience - but the girl I love with all my heart is gone. She won't talk to me, and her friends won't either.

There isn't anything wrong with you than can't be cured by love. Please, do not go to psychiatrists. Love is a learning process, but they are not teachers. You are, with your life around you, and you're very good at it.

I just came across this thread and now realize that the original post was from early March. Noblin, if you read this, welcome to the Astral Pulse forums. The experiences you report are quite interesting. You may want to elaborate on these experiences with a few more posts if you're so inclined. In any event, welcome.

Very best,

How on earth did I post in this thread? Sorry - it was meant for this one (http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=10949&SearchTerms=hospital) which I found in a search.

Maybe I really am nuts. [xx(]

Hello fellow AP members:-)

I am new to the forum and I believe I have done some OBE in the past.  I need some help confirming within myself what I see is true.

Recalling from my journals.((just bits and pieces of it))
When I was younger(8 yrs old) I would lay awake at night somehow feeling the earth rotate.  At the age of 10, an Angel appeared in my window and took me flying above the clouds.  At the age of 12 I had a dream that felt like it lasted for days but in only lasted 9 mins in wake time.((Slow time in dream?))  At age 15 had my first sleep paralysis((What the doctors said)) experience.  At the age of 17 I had my first AP, visited an old abandon fair grounds.

I am 27 now and I still experience some unexplainable things.  When I go to sleep at night, right before I go into full sleep I tend to see random people.  People that I never met before.  Sometimes they even come up and speak to me like they know me.

Has any of you guys and gals ever experienced what I have shared.
