Something quite interesting just happened

I managed to somehow fall asleep around 7 PM, just dead tired I guess.  I became lucid in one of my dreams, even though I wasn't intending to.  I remembered it couldn't have been past 8 when I feel asleep so I just decided to try and wake myself up so I wouldn't be up the rest of the night.  So I do what I usually do when I try to wake from a dream, except something different happened.  I felt a suctioning feeling in my core(abdomen region) and all of the sudden I'm standing in my living room next to my couch. I assumed I was just having a false awakening, but something was odd and I was starting to feel honestly kind of nauseous.  And I realized what was up, I could see everything.  I mean all around me.  It was insane.  I could see in a full circle 360 degrees.  I could only focus on one point at a time but my peripheral vision seemed endless.   I didn't know what was going on and unfortunately lost my cool and woke up.  My question is, what was this all about?  I'm assuming in was an OBE, because never in my life have I had a lucid dream where I could see like that and it just felt different than usual.  I don't know how to explain it.  I still had the dream haziness when I woke up, but when I was standing next to my couch, it didn't feel like a dream.  Any opinions from anyone on what this was?

That is probably what it was! They say that your "vision" can see 360 degrees, instead of the usual 220 degrees that our physical bodies can see.

Also, I have not had an OBE (As far as I am aware) but what should I look/feel for when getting ready to exit the body?

Seems that accounts of 360 deg vision is described in traditional modern spiritualism.

From personal experience, I wonder what or why certain perspectives of vision occur. When flying across a vast forest, my vision was vivid, but from a different perspective, as if I was a small bird or even an insect.

Other times, I've seen very  magnified views of wall textures, and after seeing tiny spiders in the house, I wondered if I was seeing from a spider's perspective, a very odd notion.

It's  interesting that prey animals with eyes on the sides of the head, have 360 vision to help escape danger, and predators have forward vision to enable targeting and hunting prey.

A good documentary explained how miniature ponies have the potential to be ideal seeing eye guides for the blind. The pony, with eyes on the sides has 360 degree vision, and is very efficient as a guide in city environments as demonstrated in the documentary.

A bit of a stretch I agree, but is it possible that we can experience a sort of universal fusion of visual experience that includes all designs of vision in nature?

360 degree vision occurs during an obe.  The brain however is only used to focusing on 220 degrees so it's hard to take in everything around you.  If you were to focus on what was behind you, you would see everything in a mirrored reverse.  (I do not recommend doing this because objects can get stuck that way!)

This sounds interesting, and remembering my visions as a child obe explorer, i was often very small, and then sometime very large as a viewer, so it would appear i was looking at things from different sized viewpoints as well as different angles.

At the time it freaked me out, and i woke up crying after, or even while it was happening. These days id want it to happen, but it wont...dammm.

Id be buzzing like a cable carrying AC volts of magnitude, and very very alive with vivid perceptions. It was like i woken up from the dream that is being a human, and saw everything as we should see it.

There is a world out there much bigger and better than this!!! let me out!!! Something wonderfull.
