Vacume Feeling In My Ears Before Astral Experiences?

On and off in my life when I am resting, but fully conscious, I know something astral (I think) is about to happen because inside my ears I begin to feel a vacume, sucking inward, pulling inward sound (similar to the feeling you get when you have water in your ear), and if I don't resist it my consciousness is pulled within, and outside sounds then disappear, or else become very faint.

Then when I am within it always becomes an effort trying to come out of my body, and when I succeed coming out of my body it is not like I see my body, and I don't see my surroundings. Instead all is dark and I find myself peeling through layers and layers of something. Sometimes I come upon a hard surface and with difficulty I manage to push myself through it only to find more darkness and layers and layers of stuff I am peeling through hoping something nice is on the otherside. One time I even found myself in a underground, hard, rocky earth cavity, and it was too hard to penetrate...but I thought myself out of it as soon as i asked jesus to help me. It was hard to discern which way was up, down, left, or right.

Other times after peeling through all the layers I found myself outside in sunshine and unfamilar surroundings, and am able to fly etc., and go through meadows and have a nice astral experience, but always in surroundings I am not familar with.

Then suddenly I am back in my body, and open my eyes and see I am in my room laying down. But then the vacume, sucking in feeling in my ears is still there, and I try to allow it to pull me within. This time I stay within my body and with my eyes shut I sometimes see colors, and starrt to hear different sounds and it sometimes sounds like a radio going through different stations. I have even heard familar pop music, or rock songs in my head even though I never listen to music most of the time. Just today I heard a variety of sounds one of which was a piano.

Anyway are these normal experiences when meditating or on the verge of astral projection?

Such experiences have been with me on and off all my life even when I was not knowledgable about meditation, astral projection and so on. They seem to increase if I have a healthier, less heavy diet.

Any advice will be great.

Thanks in advance.

"but always in surroundings I am not familar with."

I end up in environments not familiar to me half of the time, the other half I end up in the same room with my physical body. I consider myself lucky when that is the case, however sometimes it happens 4 out of 5 projections. I just never know where I will end up. I am sure with effort I could bring this under control and make sure I end up local but figuring out why and how to control it is a lot harder than it sounds.

"Anyway are these normal experiences when meditating or on the verge of astral projection?"

That's an interesting question you posted because the average person would say nothing is normal about astral projection heh. I would say the answer is it is normal for each person to have to deal with a unique problem when it comes to projection. Now the seeing the colours is something that is very common yes. The most common advice that is given is to try and go through [penetrate] all the layers of colours and see where you end up. For me half of the excitement comes from not knowing where I will end up next. I have seen some pretty interesting things and places I would not have had the knowledge of to visit if it wasn't for the randomness of my exits. So part of me doesn't want to change a thing. If I end up locally awesome, I'll take advantage of that. If not then cool, let's see where I'll end up. But in your case you say you never end up locally, so try your best and approach the exit from different angles/states of mind. Think about the exit differently as you are going through it, experiment with it in different ways and you'll end up succeeding in figuring out what works for you to place yourself locally. It's just a matter of time. Plus it will be a great learning experience for you to figure out some of the [mental] mechanics of projection.
