Post by: SomeOne on April 28, 2011, 06:03:58
Hello i was just wondering if at the begining of an OOBE do someting to make the time stand still in the "real world" so that you can be Out of body a longer time and no one wold know ?  :-) is it posibel ? to be "in" for 1 or 2 days?

I've read accounts where OBEs seemed to last for days, months, even years. I've theorized that the rate of sensory input (or speed of light energy) one percieves in certain astral environments can be extremely higher than in the physical. As for stopping time in the physical itself, doubtful.

The longest projection I've ever heard of has been one by Tom Campbell... he mentioned his longest ever was 6 hours.
He makes no mention of the perceived passage of time during that time though.

Time seems to vary in the physical while voyaging the astral. There isn't a constant... Sometimes it may feel longer (but was shorter) and vice versa. As far as i can tell there's no way to purposely change the dilation/contraction. .

However, it may have something to do with how high up on the dimensional scale one is. For instance imagine a triangle: the physical dimension being the base level, and the point being a "divine consciousness" (or whatever you wish to call it). At the point there is no such thing as a time perception. Everything in the universe happens simultaneously.
Beginning at the physical and working our way up towards the point time perception shifts in ways that are not understandable with our current 3-dimensional mindset.
