Hi,
I've been having lucid dreams and OBEs for the past couple of months using the WBTB method and an OBE timer CD I made from www.saltcube.com. I noticed that my very first OBE experience was the longest and most intense so far with the most powerful vibrations and buzzing/ringing sound. I just lay there and experienced the vibrations for a while before exiting. In successive experiences, I've experienced vibrations but I've focused mostly on getting out of body. I think I'm so eager to have OBEs that I skip through the vibration stage so quickly that when I do get out, my experience is weak and has too much dream imagery and not enough RTZ involvement.
Does anyone here have the idea that the longer and more intense vibrations you have before projecting, the more intense and realistic the experience will be? Is there a point by which you've experienced vibrations for too long and then you can't exit but instead just wake up? The next time I get to the vibrations stage, I'm going to just stay there for much longer to see what happens without exiting - even at the risk of not exiting that time.
Any experiences or advice is welcome!

That does seem to be the case sometimes. "Pure" and intense vibrations mean you are going to have a nice obe, but not always. Although one thing is sure, with heavy vibes, the experience of separation seems very real.
Id agree with this, i find that no pain no gain, with very little physical vibrations the experience happens but seems to be washed out, and almost like an imagined obe. Im new to this too, and going through a frustrated phase at present.

Thanks for the insight Psan and Harliquin. I'm going to try to take it a little slower and really feel the vibrations for as long as I can before exiting. It's so easy to be over-eager and to want to try to project as soon as you find yourself on the brink. My OBEs have had that "washed out" or weak feeling when I haven't had enough vibes. It took me a little while to realize what was going on - this is all so new - I'm still getting my head around the fact that this stuff is real. I'm also hoping that more intense vibes will hold back the reality fluctuations and allow me to experience as much as possible of the RTZ.
There are many experienced projectors who don't get vibes. I haven't had them in a couple years, but have had some great experiences. If you don't get them, don't think you're not doing something right.
I wonder wether Ive even got my eyes open whilst im OBEing at the moment, and wether im overlaying my closed Astral eyes with an imagination of what i should be seeing in my astral body( if anyone gets that).
How do i open my eyes (quote vanilla sky) in my astral body i ask?
God this is fun stuff.
