Anybody find themselves upset they can't help someone with OBE's?

Hey friends!

I have been finding it difficult trying to help people with OBE's. Now first off... I am still a noob when it comes to this stuff and I have projected around probably 25 times. (consciously) I know I achieve this every night. Technically I am not even in my body right now... I get this. The problem I am having is seeing other people miserable. It could be anything... Fears of death like I used to have. What really upsets me is when I see people who are interested in projection but say they don't have enough time. Or wants to hear me talk about it but they don't take me seriously...

I think I am answering my own question here but... Should I just stop trying? I love helping on the pulse. I just feel bad for a lot of people they are so close to projecting and changing their lives but they won't commit. I find myself saying yeah it's not my problem though... They will when they are ready...

It still gets to me though I don't know why! Maybe it's because these past two years have been HUGE for me. I been doing this for about two years now. It changed my life so drastically that maybe it hurts I see other people who could learn this but refuse to. I know I am not them... It just hurts I can't help and I refuse to be an OBE thumper if you know what I mean. I don't push beliefs on anybody but if the subject comes up I tend to speak and am looked at like "good for you! Are you on medication?" and it's just a bummer... I need to cool it though. I realize I can't get a giant megaphone and shout "WAKE UP!" to the world but my god... Does anybody else feel if they could have the chance they would do it in a heartbeat?

I know this is probably another thing I need to work on... Religion frustrates me and anytime I hear someone talk about it I cringe. I don't know why... It's not my problem so why does it effect me so much? Am I the only one? I also think as time goes on it will get better and I won't care as much. I already know in the end EVERYTHING works. There is no end... But yeah...

I just answered all my questions but I wanted to see if anyone shared these feelings like me.

Have a great night everyone.

When they are ready and open to learn, the NPR will come seeking them.

Like they say, you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make them drink it.

My door is always open to someone that is serious to learn. But I don't force this and never with upon anyone.

Just focus on helping  yourself right now and you will find that you will be surrounded by like minded people or that people around you will see a change in you and start asking questions themselves.

Once again Cody, calm down and try to lose the melodrama.

Live your life and ALLOW others to live theirs.  :-)

Thanks Lionheart.  :-) I know I make a huge deal out of the silliest things it's something I got to work on. I don't know what causes it really.

Tell me about it!

It's not your fault that people won't commit to things. It's their problem. If they are predestined to do this sort of thing they will come around in the end.

How many times have you read - "Hi I was into AP a couple of years ago and gave up... anyway recently I have read everything there is to know about Aping and last night I had this strange feeling of being outside my body as though projecting my spirit... was this an OOBE or AP? Help? I need to know!!!"

I have read something like the above hundreds of times. People try... give up and if they meant it... it will happen for real in the long run.

This yearning you feel seems to be part and parcel of being a practitioner.

That sounds awfully famiiar to the saying "If you love something set it free, if it comes back to you it was meant to be"!   :-)

Exactly. It gets a little hard sometimes, I can relate to it. Hey I've been 9 months on it!.  I've gotten a little obsessed at times, to the point I decided to give it a rest for a couple of weeks.

Still, what you do, helping us it really is appreciated. Very appreciated. If it wasn't because of you, I would not have gotten this far. It's very different talking to a person directly than reading it in a web where you can't get any feedback from your experiences.

This is a thank you post  :-P

I find it frustrating when people say that have been trying to ap for years but have not had any success.  You try to help them but you cannot help them as they have made up their mind that they are unable to ap.  It is not meant to be for them.  In future I will not try to help those people as you are not able to.  I do not let it upset me.  It is good when you can help people and people are appreciative of it.  That makes you feel it is worth it.

I have to agree with all the above comments.I've tried over the years to help people but I've found myself banging my head as to how often they don't practice but still crave results.I've had maybe 20 experiences over the years but ultimately its up to them to not only read about it but also to practice. But also some people are destined to never achieve it. :|
Perception is everything, because you think you see it, does it mean its true?

It is because of you that my motivation is still intact. Your devotion to others. Help them achieve astral projection. I would like one day to advise as.

The repetition of certain messages are a good thing for us, because the unconscious love repetition.

Continue like this, I wish with all my heart. You're part of my family  :-D.

Whenever I come home from work, I kiss my wife and daughter, and I'm on the forum to read. I do nothing else before.

Some people just aren't ready to really confront the truth. The modern medical sciences want to be able to explain everything and when they can't, they attribute it to a strong dream and /or imagination. It' their fail-safe explanation that doesn't leave much room for people to openly criticize them without the risk of damaging their own credibility. I personally believe this falls out of the medical science and more into physics since I'm certain an OBE is not any type of bodily function and more along the spiritual.

That seems like it's off the subject but it explains why a lot of people are curious enough to try for a while but when it doesn't happen as quickly as they like, they refer to what the sciences have to say about it and dismiss it as easily as some of the docs do. So I completely understand why people think your crazy for taking the opposite stance of the easily  accepted "dream" excuse. Do not let their shortfalls change your compassion for others. We will all suffer if you lose that. Just water the seed that someone else has sown for them and it will grow in them if they wish to grow as a spiritual being. Hope this didn't ramble too much.
It ain't what you don't know that gets you into trouble. It's what you know for sure that just ain't so.

Y'know... for someone who has a strange nickname you sure project the opposite... It's not all bad, its all bad.

Just read this post and all I can say is that although Ive tried in the past I do not have as much time as you all seem to have. I get up at 6.30am every weekday, work till 5pm go home tired as a tired thing. Go to the gym, usually every other day. Then get home about 7pm have something to eat and go to bed at 10pm. Id like to spend sometime with my husband and my friends inbetween all this. Don't know where you all get the time from. Do you all work part time?
What does not destroy me only makes me stronger

I work part time but I often work full time hours.  I do not go to the gym but I do exercises when I get home from work.  I have a lot to do when I get home from work.  We have dinner later now than before.  I think if you want to do this badly enough you will find time to do it.  I wake up early in the morning and I practice to ap.  I have not done it lately as it has been extremely hot here.  I read somewhere that if you are not able to practice during the week, there is the weekend to practice.

I work 'between time'. At the moment I work on my computer... at other times I work in a workshop/studio. Obviously when I am working on my computer I can flit on here any time. I don't have a fixed sleep schedule. I sometimes work all day through to the night. It depends. I only need about 2 to 3 hours ACTUAL sleep per night.

That is unusual that you only need about two or three hours sleep per night.  Most people need about six or more hours sleep per night.

Bedeekin

I know... tell me about it.

I sometimes sleep longer but I tend to wake up all groggy and lethargic for the rest of the day. I also nap in the evening for about an hour or so.

On the whole though I can get by comfortably on 2 - 3.

I must disagree since people sometimes have an OBE while under anesthesia for some medical procedure. So a physical molecule can at least play a big role in getting one to OBE.

You can help me cody  if ya want :-)
I've been trying for about 10 months to have a conscious exit, with no  luck,
Having said that, I'm not worried too much that I haven't , because I have projected from my lucid dreams several times,
and I trust that when its time it will happen.

I work a 40 hour a week job and I see the people I work with  all saving for their retirement, and talking about how much they've got etc,
and I often think, wow i wish I could say, hey!!   I know of this even  better retirement plan.but thats not gunna happen rite!?!
so to me learning as much as I can while in the physical is the most important thing I can do.
and I love it!!!  :-)
