Yes, it is one in the same. Although if you and I were both projecting at the same time, and in the same place, while we may see each other, we may percieve things differently.
For example, being a newbie, you may see "a big red blob" next to a sidewalk, and I may see a new, red corvette parked along the street.
Another example would be you seeing something which you identify as being a bicycle, and I identify it as a motorcycle.
In both cases, it's simply a matter of PERCEPTION. We may be in the same astral location, but since a lot of the astral is influenced by thoughts and emotions, we could potentially be looking at the same thing but interpret it differently.

If, not is AP just a individual's lucid dream that is invented, controlled and experienced by just that person please?
No, it is possible to experience it alongside someone else.
Jeff,
Thanks very much for your clear reply....makes a lot of sense now.
Yesterday, I downloaded a program called BWGen that allows a binaural beat to be played and the right sequence can induce Astral projection (supposedly)....it was called Astral Projection in 8 minutes or something like that.
I tried that yesterday, but what happened is that I think I felt asleep after about 12 minutes, but the dreams were sort of weird...but that was not the strange part, after I woke up, I felt tired and drained out for the next few hours. Is this a normal response? I have never tried this audio induced technique before, and am not sure if this is legit, and actually works.
Thanks,
Sree

Binaural sounds do work for some. I have the same problem you do...I feel like a zombie for hours afterward. It almost feels like I am sick because I feel so terrible after listening to them. My guess is that it drags our brains down into the Theta state and we have a hard time getting it back up the the waking state. The other wierd thing that happens to me is for about 10 minutes after taking off the headphones, I can hear what sounds like a giant supercomputer. Remember the sounds of the bridge in Star Trek? Just a million little chirps and beeps? It sounds like that...really wierd.
Hi,
I am new to AP, but have been experimenting with for some time now, and once I saw behind my eyes, a 3D view of blackness...it just appeared 3D, don't know how and am finding it difficult to explain....and then I felt myself perpendicular to my physical body before I "popped" back in...more difficult to explain, but that was the closest I ever got to projecting. I have since seen a 3D view while dreaming many times, and I realised that I was dreaming and immediately woke up!
The qestion I have is this....is the Astral plane one and the same for every being? ie, when (and if) I project into the AP, will I be able to meet others who are projecting into the AP at the same time? If, not is AP just a individual's lucid dream that is invented, controlled and experienced by just that person please?
