Is there a link to Type 1 Diabetes and OBEs?

I wanted to know if there were any type 1 diabetics on this forum who have OBE's, Vivid/Lucid Dreams and think there could be a link to their experiences being induced by taking insulin?
 
I have been a Type 1 diabetic for 20 years. I will for the most part always have lucid dreams, and with occasions OBEs developing from the lucid dream state.
 
In my early years while having these experiences friends would always say it must be your diabetes causing the sleep problems – sugars to low or high causing the sleep disturbance and subsequent dream experience that followed.
 
However on all occasions that I awoke from my OBE's I have tested my sugar levels and they were always fine. So I assumed it was not lack of sugar to the brain causing the experience, but now wonder if insulin makes me more prone to having lucid dreams and acting as a front door to the OBE.
