Is this a pre-projection symptom?

I've recently started reading about OBE's and how to control having them so I've been practicing on my time off. I get a lot of the symptoms like a pounding heart (using rope technique) and a lower body temperature. However, after awhile I don't get vibrations (I don't think) but instead I get goosebumps all over my body. Is this a sign I'm going in the right direction or is it a sign I'm just getting excited and ruining everything because I usually can't get past this part.

Trust me you'll know right away when you are getting vibrations.  You're doing everything fine so far, you just need to be patient.

Definitely. I remember the second time I ever had the opportunity to project, my heart was pounding really hard and that was because of nervousness. You need to put that aside and just let your mind focus on more important things. After you put that nervousness aside, it will be really easy for you to switch from the vibrational state to an OBE. The hardest part is getting to the vibrational state (which you've done). If I may suggest anything, try other methods than the rope technique if that isn't working for you. There are easier methods that rely on only 1 thing... that you move your energy body. Just get out of bed fast, that's how I usually do it.

Goosebumps and cold body is not a sign of pre-exit. Rather it means you need a blanket.
Pounding heart is a sign but it means that you are on the edge but not fully relaxed.

When you are able to forget your body and ANY sensations from it, you are ready for an exit.
(Vibrations, noises and images behind closed eyes are not related to physical and thus are not body sensations.)
