before getting in trance, i have figured out how to look deeper into the blackness of my eyelids. lately ive been seeing very sharp lines. they look rainbowish and look very closely parallel to one another while at the same time curving as well. the more i focus on seeing them the more vivid they look as they move around

any clue what this is or has anyone seen this?

When I do my noticing exercises, I almost always notice several parallel lines running horizontal (a few times they've been verticle). They remind me of window blinds. If I can focus on these long and hard enough, eventually I'll see some really vivid hypnogogic imagery or even some crytal clear focus 12 imagery (that always shocks me, I'm never ready for what I'll be seeing). Once, the lines turned into a kind of kalidascope pattern, and all kinds of numbers and letters and symbols from all over the world started showing up in the grids before I was shocked out of it.

I also see lines alot when I'm noticing.  Usually, they look like the lines on barcodes: parallel, but of varying thickness, you know?  I'll see them vertically, then they'll fade and reappear horizontally.  Generally in faint, varying colors.  And like Stookie, it generally happens on the way to very vivid images.  I'm not sure why it is, but it's interesting that we all have similar experiences.
