Everytime i been having an OBE lately. I walk out of my body into my room to some "Unseen Force" dragging me around. Ussually in the air floating. I dont seem to have entire control over my astral body nor leave my room. Everytime i open the door to my room they slam the door. And keep me trapped with them. What is going on really?
In my opinion, it's your fear of what's awaiting out "out there".
It isn't "they" who is closing the door... it's you, with your thoughts and emotional output.
~Ryan :)
Well tbh i was fearful when i first started getting my OBE's Through paralysis. But since fear became a block i discarded it quickly. Over the years i became better and better at controlling my vibrations. But recently for some reason as soon as i leave my body, this overwhelming force consumes me and wont let me leave my room. Im fully consious and aware of what's going on but im curious of it. Has this happened to anyone before?
I've had something kind of similar happen.
I got grabbed by the feet and pulled through endless copies of my room.
It was a little different because i could feel myself being pulled by my feet.
This happened a few times in a row when i would project.
Ultimately I just grabbed at my ankles one day and felt "hands" so i pried them off and it never happened again.

That's pretty disturbing :-o

When you think about it in terms of "you're doing it to yourself", it's not so disturbing anymore.
~Ryan :)
broken record sir, broken record.
@Godel
It's actually freakier than that. My room was pitch black dark everytime except for small little slits of light coming through the window blinds. As I was pulled through my room over and over I saw what looked like a black shadow un-dead hyena. Each time I was pulled through the wall into another copy of my room there were more and more of these shadow dogs. By the time I would get thrown back to my body (or the one time i stopped it) the room was almost full of these creatures. They never touched me but they were trying to grab a bite of me.
Killa Rican,
I have had many of these experiences as well. Thank god for a lifelong yoga practice, because when all this started happening I was able to keep the clarity of mind that allowed me to calm myself enough to experience these things evenly. Even the man-sized crocodile swinging me 'round by the feet didn't dent me. Other times I have felt like a ribbon on a may pole swinging in the wind. The first time it happened was the most heart pounding. I was awake, in my bedspace and felt actual hands on me. Here's an excerpt from my journal about how that one came out---
The vibrations must've started coming around 1 am . .
I am laying on the floor on my stomach becoming increasingly more aware of them absorbing the physicalness out of my body. In my mind I can hear myself say "it is beginning". As always I am a little afraid, but this time just slightly, I am telling myself to stay awake, stay calm and pay attention. This is when I feel his hands. He has a good hold of my feet and is drawing my legs up and pulling them way back loong. I think he comes over to my head and does something there, and then goes back and does the same thing with my feet. I am relating what I am feeling to a yoga adjustment, clearly, which is calming me significantly, enough to very quickly begin to know he is preparing me. Helping me to stay in the vibration that is letting me speak with him.
I am utterly brimming over with questions. It is no longer dark, I have full vision and have been watching him now for some time. I see him clearly- a young boy, with dark skin, beautiful black hair. He has a white band in his hair, tied down at the nape of the neck and is wearing a white loin cloth of sorts, unlike any I have ever seen. We are in my room, just as tangibly as I am ever here with anyone. I ask him if he is the one I call Neru. He tilts his head, lifts the corners of his mouth and says "yes and no"--lingering emphasis on the no . . I say what is your name ? and he replies "Meshahare", pronounced Mes-ha-ha-ree (which means potential participle; that which is about to come into being) . . He is still busy working, preparing me. Although not exactly in a hurry there is some element of time. He is letting me know I am "going with him now" --as another of his tribe walks in through the door from the garden. .
I used to get this also (and remember being dragged from room to room, also) and what helped me was to keep my attention on what was happening with interested detachment. For example, it was interesting to see the different types of flooring or wall coverings in the regions I would be 'dragged' through, and just refusing to be scared (and some of the stuff would have been scary long ago) revealed an entirely different 'reality' behind it- and these types of experiences stopped.
I realize they were (as was described elsewhere- the same energy being 'translated' differently by my subconscious) subjectively experienced- but your description (pr) immediately reminded me of this.
FWIW.
I at least think experiences like that are very cool, the translation of energy subjectively is quite an intricate matter.
"Is this normal?"
It might be normal for you. :-)
I find here in these forums many similarities to experiences I have had. But I just had to say - NORMAL? I'm not convinced there really is anything normal about this practice. What I experience is normal for me though!
Also - the "door" is not your only way out.
Technically (and I think we're 'going there') Average is 75% of the time- Normal would be the norm, which I think would translate to average. So perhaps you can post a survey and see how many people here have had that experience? That'll tell you if it's 'normal'.
Normal being "an unseen force dragging" you around? Interesting. I have been "pulled upwards" to places and could feel the grip and strength of a "hand". It was at my request for assistance though and not against my will. I guess that is my dilemma. I have not any experience with something being contrary to my will, or maybe I have, I'll have to mull this one over a bit more. PR's version sounds kinda exciting though. I would demand to know who/what and why though. Really sounds like a self imposed experience to me. Loss of control.
I would participate in a poll. I love polls. I hate politics though. Polls of politics are apparently not good indicators of fact. Average is 75%? I guess I never knew that either.
Learning something everyday. :-)
In math, average is 75% (that's why a 'c' is average) but the norm is more slippery- it's more complicated and can be described as 'topographical' (at least in my mind). That's why I like 'average' better for calculating purposes.
You must be very calculating in this business!
Normal is only relative to one's self, an average at least given the proper calculations is statistically accurate. We'd also have to factor in frequency of occurrence in comparison to total duration of nonphysical time as the longer the duration the more chances of such an event occurring, even if it may only happen once. So the question probably would be, is this event occurring often or is it a rarity that does not happen to very many people across the spectrum of the conscious continuum? From the fact that out of a small pool of people others have experienced a similar event, we can say that it occurs often enough for it to not be that much of a rarity, however that does not mean it occurs fairly often enough such that it may be seen as an event that one should expect to undergo during the duration of his or her travels.
Let us not forget the original paradigm. Everyone, every person projects. We all do it. Some are aware of it, most are not. This does not mean that those who are aware are the greatest participants. The only rarity is those who report the experience.
it makes me wonder, if one were to be induced by hypnosis, do you think they'd be able to recount their unconscious experiences?

Agreed.

Yes but the original question had to do with consciously perceived experience. So let's have a poll!

Yes.
When I was young, my dad hypnotized me and asked me about stuff like dreams and other stuff that I didn't remember, and I always had an answer.
So, I did recount what I knew or experienced when unconscious, even though I had no recollection of it at the time. Sure, I made it conscious by telling it and registering it consciously, but I did report experiences that happened while unconscious.

cool, I wanted to know because I'm genuinely interested.. I'll research a bit to see if there are any documented cases.
I have heard of hypnotized people who could remember subconsciously speaking to projectors visiting them. They had no recollection otherwise.
hypnotism is essentially the exact same mind state as that of AP practice so it would make sense that someone could remember astral experiences under hypnosis. it's like state dependent learning.
Hi Guys! Thanks for your insight! ^_^ I probably should have worded the question better so no misunderstandings or offtopic lol! :P This is somewhat the same as personalreality's experience. But I been projecting for years already and this only happened until recently that everytime as soon as i project out of my body i will either crash into "Someone" Sitting on the end of my bed, or when i try to walk out of my room i feel someone's hands and fingers holding my arm and holding me back. I would like to think this is all my mind but i never have fear. Is it possible i caught someone's attention? It's all unseen thus far.
Thank you for your time!
