What state was I in?

I had just woke up from a ton of dreams this morning. I am a very heavy dreamer... I never became lucid in any of them. I woke up and it was 4:30 am. I remember looking at the clock. I went to bed at about 8 PM that night so I was getting quite a bit of sleep. I been very sick and bed felt good. Anyway, I remember I closed my eyes right after I woke up to go to sleep again. I felt a rocking feeling. This has happened to me quite often like I was on a tiny raft in the middle of the ocean. This feeling is not new to me so I held it and was pretty excited. It hit me harder than it normally does.

Next thing I know I get the falling sensation. At this point I am more than ready for an OBE. The only thing was it never got to the point of separation like it always does when that happens. The sinking feeling was very mild. Usually it hits me like a roller coaster. The only thing I did notice is when I directed my awareness away from my body it got a little stronger but it never got to the point of separation. I was not in sleep paralysis either. I could move if I wanted to the whole time.

The most interesting that happened was I had a visitor. It's the same visitor EVERYTIME! I was laying there and I can't tell you how real this "felt" This is not the first time it's happened to me... But I felt something hop on my bed and slowly crawl toward my face. I knew right then and there it was a cat. I heard purring by my face. A few other times in the past it would lay on my chest and I would feel the pressure etc. This time it just crawled up next to my face and gave me a little purr. Didn't scare me at all. Everytime in the morning or sometimes at night I get that same cat experience. I lock my cat out of my room at night because she likes to nibble my ears in the middle of my sleep lol. So she has the whole house to herself at night when I am shut in my room so it's NOT her.

I never got out... but I held that state for about 20 mins probably. Then finally opened my eyes to stretch a bit. What was this state I was in? How come I didn't achieve separation like I usually always do?

Thanks AP. :- )

Edit: I am pretty sure I was already in the NPR. I am always in the NPR... :-D I am just talking about more in terms of how close was I to switching data streams or into a different reality?

Was your cat asleep at that time?
If we can enter an NPR, how about our furry friendds?

Sometimes I see my parrot in my dreams. He died several years ago, but he still feels just as alive, same personality, weight, smell (yes birds have a smell). Reminded me of that... I miss him, but at least I get to see him sometimes. Never happened while I was laying in bed though.

I dunno how to judge exactly where you were or why you didn't separate.
Take to the sky, feeling so alive! Past the clouds to the Milky Way, share our secrets with the starry brigade. The stars surround us like a million fireflies. For once I see infinity... it's in your eyes.

Szaxx- I'm not sure if she was asleep or not because she was outside roaming the house but it could have been! She is an indoor cat so she definitely was probably snoozing. She scratches my door at about 8 Am to wake me lol.

Fox- that's incredible with your parrot. No doubt he still hangs around you :)

Nice one AC.
A purr-fect alarm.  :-D

Sometimes we have to do different exists to suit the ap sensation.  When you feel yourself sinking, spiritually move away from your body.

In essence, you're parallel processing the physical and another reality frame at the same time.  Probably not quite sleep paralysis... but at the same time, you also weren't 100% awake either.

You had probably already made the non-physical shift (phased), but you weren't there all the way, hence the parallel processing of the two reality frames.  It's hard to tell what the cat in your experience represented though.  It could have been YOU cat sleeping... it could have been your expectation or desire of wanting your cat there with you as well.  There are a myriad of possibilities.

In the end, just log it... don't over-analyze it.
