Many say its easier to wake during sleep paralysis when you sleep on your back. For me this is a problem as I NEVER sleep on my back its just never a position I sleep in as I am just not used to it so I always sleep on my side. Would this make it harder for my chances to get into the mind awake body asleep thing and/or during paralysis? has anyone who has had good luck when waking on their back during paralysis found they just cannot do the same thing if they sleep on their side?

Its kind of bugging me and I want to see just how much it matters.

I'm just like you; I have never slept on my back. I can meditate for hours, even if I'm dead tired and sleepy; but as long as I am laying on my back, I wont fall asleep.

I haven't got any sp that I've noticed, I have had vibrations in the middle of the night, I've woken up just today, from my nap, laying on my chest having this strong strong vibrations, which are a sign of separating from the body.

Also, the most intense dreams I've had are the ones that, when I wake up, I'm laying on my back.

I would say it just varies! Sleep paralysis can happen in any position. Do what feels comfortable for you. I might add though, if you are trying to get out of body... (You're not really going out of your body, you are just shifting consciousness.) I would try doing it sitting down, or sitting up on a couch. Try not to crawl in bed and get all cozy. You are programmed to fall asleep that way. Remember you can shift consciousness in a matter of seconds. I have done this once, out of the year and a half I been into this. You do not need to even be in paralysis to experience the NPR it's just a gateway you can use.

Good luck.  :-)
