It wont let me travel. Help please.

In my last 4 projections this entity has pushed/forced me back inside my body

It looks like an Imp, brown/orange/black in color.

Its very snappy and in my face and tries to throttle me and push me back into my body every time i start to rise out.

1st time. I was moving up and out with a nice fine vibration then all of a sudden i was forced back by some unknown small brownish creature and it was a bit of a pushing struggle between us both but eventually i gave up and completely merged with my body. The thoughts going through my head as to why that happened were never ending...:S

2nd time. I woke up on my side, was feeling the vibrations, got excited then i concentrated more on it (which seems to increase them and makes them smoother for me) and was rising up and out. Then i felt a push on me and i was falling back in again. I saw a shape above me (on top of me) from the corner of my eye as i was falling back in side ways (kinda). I was back in thinking what the hell? no way! not again! what is this thing?!

3rd time. I woke out of my sleep but my body was still in slumber, could feel the tingly vibrations coming so i closed my eyes, concentrated on my pineal area and the ING sound then i decided on going to my friends house. Straight away i was zooming in the right direction, my upper body was out first and then...These skinny arms (brown I'm sure) grabbed my wrists and pushed me back to my body i tried to push back but it was no good i was back inside. Now the thing is, is this time it spoke... "your not going anywhere" as it had hold of my arms/wrists it carried on speaking but i could not make out what it was saying and then i was back in yet again...

4th time. Now this time it was a huge struggle. I was rising out this time and felt a heavy force pushing on my chest area (never felt that before but know its widely common) then these shadow like scrawny arms begin to grab me around the throat and push me back in. I start pushing back and begin to grab and squeeze this thing but its still just right in my face snapping. I close my etheric eyes? relax and raise my vibrations. YES! I can feel myself rising and i can no longer feel this thing but then i open my eyes and I'm still in the same position with this thing that's jumping all over me and wrapping itself around my neck and constantly in my face. I felt really drained to and eventually i found myself fully back in my body.

Its really, really annoying me. My projections were fine before this thing came along. Ive read it could be a low entity (parasite) feeding off me but i just don't know. I want to get rid of this thing.

Please can anyone shed any light onto my situation, it would be greatly appreciated.

I think it was Robert Munroe whom had a very similar experience.

There was a time where whenever he tried to project he would feel as if something was holding him down, on his back.
He eventually figured it out to be himself... his own arm, actually.

Sounds like a Doom 1 Imp to me!
Try to lose the fear and fight it (If you are afraid anyway). Most of the time its, like me, our own mind that is binding us from OBEing

Actually, I believe Robert also mentioned "seeing" stuff like that as well.  It wasn't until he lost his fear regarding it that the truth was shown to him about the situation.

Interesting, I just read this thread last night and afterwards had three obe's (around 3am) one after the other, and of little brown arms trying to hold me back. By the time of the third one, I had remembered what X* and stated about Monroe (I'm actually reading "Journey's out of the body" right now) realizing they were his own arms. Sure enough I was set free and went through the roof of my room with the sound of the wind whistling in my ear. Joy overcame me as Stars lit up the sky and then back awake I was in bed.

I'm still struggling with this thing. I tried questioning it. Are you my spirit guide? It said maybe. Why wont you let me out. It said I'm sorry. Then it said something about march (month). Then it screamed at me to "just get back in!" and this heavy force just pushed me right back in.
Now it wont speak to me. It always grabs my wrists and then there is this pushing match between us, which seems to be pretty even. I'm getting a better view of it now and it seriously looks sort of like yoda. Just this morning, this other being offered me a hand out saying "go on then ill help you". I was so relieved and i was being helped out but then all of a sudden this heavy pressure comes onto me and i have this F'ing! thing on top of me again! I have read that I'm still in the etheric plane so it must be some sort of etheric creature maybe? Were not alone out there at all. What is a dweller?

Ive read that some people have had to fight things. How exactly do you go about doing that?

Thanks for your replies so far. I'm going to imaging its part of myself, trying to cling to this reality and i will try all sorts to let go but I'm pretty sure its not.

I have something similar whenever I have false awakenings. Usually its jumps on me/pulls the covers back/drags me out of bed ( I cant see as my head is under the quilt). Sometimes I have stayed awake after it has jumped on me and tried to question it. It just lays over me and its not in a way that its trying to hold me down.  WHen I asked his name I had a weird answer with an equally weird laugh.

Other times I have felt like I am being pushed down into the bed. THis invisible energy field i can feel it above me brings to mind an image of someones hand on teh side of my head and pushing my head as hard as possible into the bed. I can feel it all over, buts its worse on my head.

WOW! Exactly how i feel it, especially on my head. I suppose we just need some ideas on how to get rid of it.

I have only had this twice. I never felt so terrified. I was completely lucid which made it worse. It felt like something had come in and was holding me down while it did something. I remember thinking ' is this a dream? what is this thing? Whats it doing to me?! Is it feeding? It hurts, stop!' I remember calling out for help.

The false awakenings for me are different - it feels more feral, animal like, hunted sensing a hunter near by - i am thinking if its not this 'person' who appears every now and then that does it to scare me - its maybe my own instinct stopping me, my fear.

Hehe slightly offy here but you saying this reminded me.

Floaty thing gets beaten by a BFG...If something appears in my dream that I am not strong enough yet to fight - i create something usually something I associate as 'beating it'.

In my cases... if I am getting chased and can see it its sometimes an alien from the Alien film. So If i am not feeling strong enough, I create a Predator (from the film) and kind of pre-program it to hunt the alien while I run for my life ^^
