I just had to comment because this morning I had a dream of eating cheesburgers!  And they really had no taste and I kept eating them because I wasn't getting full!..hehhehe.  I must have packed away five of those bad boys, and I was conscious enough to think, why the heck do these have no taste and not filling me up?  I stopped cause well, gluttony isn't good []

P.S..I didn't mention that I was trying for a projection this morning and YOU were my target. [] But I ended up going into the cheeseburger dream!

I don't remember trying to eat before but I tried to drink and, as far as I can remember, I would spill all the water.  Meaning that none went through, as if I had no throat...

How much physical sensations did you get?  Felt the food go down your throat?  Go into your stomac?

Well, for one, I wouldn't consider astral wall plaster 'food' by any stretch of the imagination.  []  But I know what you're getting at.  To answer your question, it felt every bit as real as it would if I did it while I was awake.

The only difference was that there didn't seem to be a taste at first, and then, the chalky sensation came to my taste buds, and my mouth felt real dry....which is why I wanted to drink some water.

I usually don't share my OBE experiences unless I discover something new, or something interesting is learned.  Well, I had one of those experiences this morning which I would like to share with you all.

This one was kind of weird, only because it started out real clear, but by the time I got back, it was hard to decipher what really took place.  Again, another sign of short term memory problems in the astral.

First off, I believe this may have taken place from a dream body.  I was in bed (in a dream?), and I wanted to project, so I stared at the wall in front of me.  Even though I was fully conscious at this time, I almost think I was conscious from within a dream, since I don't remember staring at this wall in my real bedroom.

However, this same technique is something I HAVE used from my real physical body to really induce an OBE, so the results and sensations were the same.

My head was probably 2-3 feet away from the wall, but the more I stared and fixated on a specific texture point on the wall itself, the more it was drawn closer to me.  Not only did it seem like the wall got closer, but everything else seemed to fade to black in my vision except for this point.

Then simultaneously, two things happened.  The familiar numbness began to spread from my head downwards, and my astral body began to peel out shortly after that from my head downwards.

I found myself floating slightly above the bed.  Not sure if I was truly out, I did my usual test.  I took my hand and felt the wall I was previously staring at.  It was solid to the touch.  However, with a little push, after some initial tension, my fingertips began to sink into it.  BINGO!  I was out!

I then decided to test a theory that I never thought about before.  They say that when you're having an OBE, the sense of taste and smell are usually absent (or not noticed).  So for some reason, this is what I decided to do.   I took my middle finger and made a hole into the astral wall by pushing it through it.  I then scooped out a chunk of the wall and began to chew it in my mouth.  At first, there really didn't seem to be any taste to it.  Then, a real chalky taste was present in my mouth, almost like chewing on a flavorless flintstone vitamin tablet.

I began to search for some water or something to wash this taste out of my mouth.  The room and layout of the house was different than mine, so I don't know where exactly I was at.  Also, my memory gets a little sketchy from this point.

I remember jumping through a door in the house and appearing in their dark hallway.  Vision wasn't the clearest because of the lack of light, but at the end of the hall, I turned right into a kitchen.  I knew that I could "create" things if I wanted, so I said in godlike fashion, "Let there be light!"  

I expected the entire room to light up in a radiant light, almost like an instantaneous daylight effect or something.  Instead, after my bold demand for light, a single bulb light which was hanging from the cieling flicked itself on.  "Hmmm...not what I was expecting, but definitely better than the dark!"

There was another type of single bulbed light fixture hanging from the cieling which was off, so I simply took my right hand, opened my palm towards it, and said "Light" and it turned on.

I walked over to the sink, turned on the water, and began trying to wash the chalk taste out of my mouth.  I also seem to remember manifesting two aspirin tablets in my hand and trying to take those too.  There was a clock nearby in an appliance, and it said 3-something AM.

Here are some other things which I remember from the experience, although I don't remember the necessary order:

* In this same house, I walked into a bathroom which was being remodelled or something.  The sink was still there, but what used to be a bathtub or shower was all rearranged and under construction.  This threw me offguard, since to my astral mind, I expected this bathroom to be completely intact (as if I lived in this house).  

* I ended up outside looking for "someone", which I think was my parents.  The city was dark, and as I was flying along, I noticed a HUGE *something* in the air.  From my vantage point, it appeared to be a floating CITY, that's how big it was.  It was lit up with white lights in the shape of a multi-tiered triangle....at least this is what it looked like when looking at the face of it.  As it slowly passed by, it took more of a "ship-like" quality to it.  So I don't know if it was a space ship, or a floating city.  I briefly thought about the Bible when it talks about the new Jerusalem coming down from heaven in the Book of Revelations.  However, this was very futuristic looking.

It floated over some high structures to my right, lowered, and landed behind them.  I then glanced around and new that wherever I was, it was either Earth in the future, or some other place.  I didn't get the feeling that this "ship" or "city" was alien in nature...just advanced technology, a biproduct of this futuristic environment that I was in.

I still flew around searching for my parents......I ended up near an airport of somekind, with buses outside and lots of people going to and fro.  However, I never found my parents.

This is all I remember.  I slept alone tonight, since my wife was out of town.  I woke up periodically to get water, but kept going back to sleep without any experiences (until this one).
