Title: LD --> AP
Post by: LucidTraveler on April 22, 2011, 13:05:57
If I "force" awake myself during lucid dreaming will I most likely find myself in sleep paralysis in bed? If so, then I imagine that this is a great way to AP, since you are basically there once you are conscious during SP.

If you know you're dreaming what sense is there pulling yourself out of it? If you have full awareness and cognitive function you're already projecting. Trying to wake up will cause you to... wake up.

My first classic OBE (vibrations, buzzing sound) was after I awoke myself from an LD.

Yes, I like the classic OBE. I want to get to the vibrational state. Is a great experience... would I find myself soon in this state after waking myself up from LD?

That's part of the confusion people have.

See, when you're in a lucid dream, or as I like to call them a "non-physical lucid awareness experience"... you're already, technically, out of your body.  If you want to go to the physical reality in such a state, then you'd place your Intent to do just that.  You do that by focusing upon where you want to go.

People confuse themselves and make it much harder than it actually is by believing that they first need to return to their physical bodies, THEN have a classic separation OBE.  Such isn't the case.  If you're already out, just place your Intent to go wherever you want.

I've experienced the vibrations a few times and I think most of them were after awaking from a dream. And I've awakened from dreams a lot of times so for me it has a rather low success rate. I'd recommend staying in the dreams :)
