Light Beings and Hooded Entities – what have you seen?

I just finished reading Albert Taylors book 'Soul Traveller'. It was a quick and nice read on the subject of his OBE experiences, but perhaps a bit to preaching towards the end. In one of his OBE accounts upon exiting Albert recalled several hooded humanoid figures standing around his bed in robes, which he thought were similar to monks.
 
When I read this account I was suddenly shocked and thought wow that's what I have seen as well. Except my hooded figures were small beings and usually would be standing in the corner of the bedroom and grouped together. In my experience their heads are always lowered with hoods covering their appearance. They appear as if they are deep in thought, and unaware of my presence.
 
Further on in the book Albert also accounts a light being, but he did not describe the being in any physical detail other than eventually assuming the light being was himself but in a higher state – I guess acting as his guide.
 
Again I have had similar accounts of experiencing I guess what would be labelled as a light being based on the being taking a luminescent form. However my experiences were somewhat negative and I did not interpret the being as a guide there to assist me. However if this is the case then I need to raise a complaint to some 'OBE Complaints Commission' about the customer service I have been receiving!  
 
I have searched this forum + Google and have come across similar threads, so this is obviously a common theme during an OBE. My experiences were initially not influenced by stories I may have read or heard, hence the inertest and shared similarities when I read Albert Taylors accounts.
 
Overall it seems too coincidental that the hooded entities/light beings presence and or purpose does not share a common objective or association during an OBE.
 
Have you had similar experiences?
 
Have you seen hooded entities/beings standing in your room during and OBE? 
 
Has anyone had any type of dialogue or contact with these entities and their purpose?
 
And who are these light beings – are they always guides or can they be the opposite?

I, too, have also encountered this phenomenon a few times throughout my life...

I've come to realize that "hooded figures" generally represent the unknown to us.  It's a perfect analogy really.

It's just how our minds comprehend what we're seeing.  As to what the true nature behind what we're actually seeing is... well that's another question.

My "hooded" figure is a guide, IMO.  All he is wearing is a monk's robe and I feel this over whelming feeling of love and comfort from him.

But I have seen that one guy with the long black duster, and black hat.  He's stood and watched me before.  I just thought it was weird.

I have never seen hooded figures in OBE's, and I have only seen Light beings in very short phasings.

I've only seen hooded entities in the etheric or RTZ, and usually as "Dweller on the Threshold" type beings.  I've seen light entities in the astral, and to a point in the RTZ, but only indirectly and briefly, like a sparkle that goes away fast.

An entity that is seen sometimes when you're in sleep paralysis, created by the expansion of your energy body and the feedback created by having dual consciousness.  You start to project but for some reason don't transfer your aware consciousness, then you perceive the energy body and interpret it as a stranger.  Then you feel fear, and because it is your own energy body your fear shapes this form with whatever you imagine or fear, and then the fear from looking at it feeds back to you (because you are connected to it, it's not a complete projection) and it establishes a loop of terror that only goes away if you break paralysis and move, or project your consciousness towards it, reintegrating with your energy body.  When you do this you find yourself bouncing around your room, because it's a disconcerting experience.

I had a lucid dream that was followed by me waking up in parlaysis and I saw a white figure literally right beside me looking down, no design just s figure


This would be an example of that, yes?

No, I think that may have been a hypnopomp, or a 'legitimate' independent entity.  Being that you were already out and came back in, and the 'form' was already being experienced when you were asleep, and lingered on.  I think it's a different thing, more than likely a hypnopomp that hadn't dissolved yet.
