The last couple of nights I thought I might have had some spontaneous projections but they were different from my normal ones. The more I think about it I feel that I might have had a semi-lucid dream of projecting.. I would like to hear of others thoughts and experiences with this senario. Thanks.

Happens to me many times.
These fake oobes :D

I guess they occur when you have too much expectation about projecting but the physical conditions are not right. So the mind just dreams about one.

I've had two dreams recently in which I'm telling people all about lucid dreams and OBEs.  It feels kind of silly - I'm actually talking about it in the dream but don't realize I'm dreaming.

Sounds like you've been spending too much time on the forums and it got burned into your subconscious

This is the first time I've ever dreamed of projection and it was an experience in itself. I just wished I could have had more control of it.

This gets more confusing with the theory that lucid dreams and dreams are really a type of projection in and of themselves, but without full consciousness.  There is a theory that dreams take place on the astral level, where thought can manifest into reality - if you project to the astral level in full waking consciousness, you can create things by thought - another way to look at it, is that dreams and full waking consciousness are just two different forms of consciousness that we experience.... lucid dreaming is when we start to question the 'matrix' so to speak.... which is why some people feel so much more awake during a LD than in waking consciousness.  There really is a THIN VEIL between OBEs, Dreams, and LD.... and in this theory, they are all just varying levels of projection.

Yes Synergy I agree that they are different forms of consciousness. As the Kabbalahist put it the pillar of equilibrium is the different modes of consciousness. Malkuth are physical world is daily living consciousness, Yesod the astral world is psychic consciousness and Tiphereth the Christ center is divine and is said to be the highest mode of consciousness atainable while alive. Every night before I go to bed I always feel as if im going to my "other life" or other mode of consciousness whether it be just a dream or an OBE.
