Title: Lost in the Void/Starfield
Post by: Projekts on January 26, 2011, 10:57:17
Hi everyone,

I'm new to this forum and am looking for some help. I've been attempting astral projection and OBE's for about 3 months now. I'm using binaural beats to help the process and sometimes a sleep mask. I have yet to experience and an OBE but on a few occasions I have reached the vibrational state.

My current issue is that I always go right to the starfield (the void?) and nothing else seems to happen. Could someone please provide some insight and help out a newb?

Thanks!

Hi Projekts!

Welcome to the Astral Pulse.  :)

For three months, you're doing very well!  The starfield is a common occurance in what we call Focus 12.  But it's not the "void"... the "void" or as we call it the "3D blackness" is a state that you'll generally experience going between certain areas of consciousness.  One of those "in between" areas seems to be between Focus 12 and 22... which is Focus 21.  When you get there, there will be no mistaking it.  :)

Just keep going what you're doing yet try deepening it a bit more.
You'll need to "allow" yourself to take that next step... don't try to force it.

Goodluck!

Hallo Projekts
As Xanth said you're doing well considering the relatively short time you've being attempting AP/OBEs. (It took me over 6 months to induce the first OBE!)
So best advice is to keep at it and don't give up. Try different exit methods. Don't be hesitant to switch methods if what you are currently trying isn't working. OBEs can happen when you least expect them, even after not trying for several days or weeks. So don't get discouraged.

Good luck  :-)

I've been thinking about this.  Perhaps people who have had spontaneous projections from a young age, have an easier time consciously projecting?  I say this because when I first came here I hadn't a clue of what all of this was about, and what I had been going through since a young age, but once I got some info and tried out some techniques, I had my first conscious exit within a couple weeks.  I mean it felt like a couple weeks, it's been a long time, but it was very quick for me.  Did you have spontaneous projections at a young age, Grey?

Actually, I'd like to hear from everyone.  Did this start young or not?

I used to go there a lot, and usually would pick a star, focus on it, and fly towards it.  I would be instantly transported into an astral plane/local/whateveryoucallit.

I remember you speaking about that once before.

I was practicing the other morning right after waking up... I closed my eyes and immediately dropped into what I recognized as Focus 12 with a starfield right in view.  It was quite vast.
Each time I began moving towards them, I go snapped back.  I believe I wasn't allowing myself to go... gotta work on that.
