I can only speak for myself and dreams/LD/OBE's are negatively effected by cannabis (weed or hashish)  I don't recall having them

Once you quit smoking cannabis products the dreams/LD/OBE's will return in full effect!

It's a way to open doorways, unfortunately you have trouble walking through.  Overuse is bad.  I'm talking about 1 toke as more than enough to get you going in the right direction, any more and you 'drunk' and unable to properly focus.

With proper meditation, you can be 'high' at will.  It's something to test, but any long term use is self defeating.
There is a physical limitation upon how much light a human body can sustain. Interestingly, there is no limit on how much light a human vessel can generate. When fully enlightened you must instill your light in order to maintain its wisdom.

I find it easier to stimulate the energy body after a few tokes.  I've been able to get some massive activity on the major chakras, however I haven't been able to anchor it.

I agree with Eric G,

it does negatively affect dream recall.

I can't even remember my dreams because it kills the neurons needed to connect physical memory with shadow(astral) memory.

T9 that statement is false in my experience.  The fact is, a very close friend who has smoked weed for 20+ years has movie length dreams with quite a lot of detail.

I was recently was a pretty heavy stoner. A few months ago when I started to really get into gnosis and the sublte bodies, I kinda slacked off. But during my stoner years I was always interested in such and now I'm able to look back and couple my knowledge. When you get stoned you can feel it pretty heavy if you just sit there and try to meditate for a moment. There are two types of marijuana sativa and indica (im pretty sure) and with my personal experience I can say that one gives you a body high, and the other gives you more of a brain high. I like to say one makes you relaxed and the other makes you stpuid. Smoking marijuwana opens up doors like was mentioned but it's a negative approach. The feeling you get in your head and face , I think, is caused by energy blockages, coupled with energy stimulation, if this makes sense. The natural up/down poles of energy flowing through your body get blocked mainly in the head area causing the normally up/down flowing energy to sporadically shoot out horizontally. Like one said in an earlier post, they couldn't anchor the energies, this is because the energy pathways are being opened artificially i think and the body doesn't really know what to do about it. Some people say they are smarter when they are high, and I do think tat with this added energy flow you do develop hieghtened sense to an extent, but it's done artificially and can cause more problems than benefits. I feel my face get really active with energy, but I can't control it, also the crown area. There are studies that are showing that long term use of weed can permantly affect your short term memory, and I'm living proof. Just trying to hit on some topics of my experience with weed and the body, here's a short story on one certain occasion.

Me and my friend came across some really dank weed, it would be called midgrade on the market. It was really dark and sticky, a high concentration of thc. So we rolled some up and smoked it, and on the first toke I could feel it, first my lungs, then my neck and then face and crown area. Just soothing with energy and relaxing. But eventually I started to feel what I would call negative symptoms caused by an artifical trigger. My whole body radiated and buzzed, kinda like pre-obe symptoms. I could hardly move and I was just so f&%ked up I had to sit there not move and close my eyes. I could see all kinds of things going on behind my eyelids. Then from my solar plexus area I started to feel very very strong energy emanations go through my whole body head tip top to toe, these were so powerful I felt like some body had hit me in the stomach with an energy fist that cause a dramatic ripple affect causing the very hairs on my skin to erect. Soon I began to feel really small and these ripples of energy were comprimising my consciousness, the feelings were so strong that when they would come on they wouldn't stop unless I triggered some kind of reaction in my mind to stop them. Just like Robert said in his book, with the vibrations so heavy and their radiance I felt as if I was going to die. I was playing with it a little to try to understand it a little more and when I would fight them off with a mind trigger I would adversly feel the whole of my head vibrate a lot higher than the rest of my body, almost like being zapped with an electric fence, it started to hurt and the harder I tried to fight off the vibrations, the more helpless I felt. There was this feeling like it was going to over take me and I would die if I didn't stop it, eventually after a few times fighting it off, I could stand up. I started to feel really sick and my eyesight was being comprimised with the buzzing in my head. I started to lose vision and started to see the static that you see behind closed eyelids, noly my eyes were open wide. I started getting cold and breaking into a sweat and feeling like I had to throw up, the feelings in my solar plexus very very strong.

I'm going to stop here for fear of a very very long post. But I feel marijuana artificially triggers energy stimulation by the thc's effects on the blood. And in this case here, I think it's safe to say that because of the potentcy of the weed, and my undeveloped energy body it caused negative reactions to the stimulation. I guess you could relate this to playing with the kundalini before the energy body is developed to contain it. I also experience wierd numbing symptoms  in the extended limbs. I'm starting to lose my concentration here on the subject matter, so I'll quit typing. Hope the issues I present is helpful in some kinda way

very interesting. as i understand it what stops kundalini from rising is negative repressed emotions - shame, guilt, inadequacy, anger, etc. in normal life you are just not aware of this stuff even if it affects your mood and attitude. drugs put you in touch with you astral body and all this stuff emerges directly - pretty traumatic. but if you surrender completely to the experience - and don't lose yourself and become psychotic - then you could clear it. Stanislav Grof used to do lsd psychotherapy using lsd to help people overcome their barriers and release emotions.

Eric G:

It only ever enhanced my dreaming, and allowed me to relax much easier for things like astral projection.

19:

It doesn't kill anything, which was proven a few years ago (except maybe lung tissue and boredom).

endlessoneness:

Doesn't sound to far off from an anxiety attack. I've had them both on and off marijuana, some people just get them (like my dad and I) and weed usually doesnt help. Infact if you smoke a lot you'll probably bring one on occasionally.
We are not truly lost, until we lose ourselves.

I'm curious if weed causes any permanent damage to your ability to OOBE. 2 times when i was high I felt what i thought were very strong vibes, like a wave of them coming from my chest one after the other. I got these before i even knew about vibrations.

Thanks for looking, cause i know you just read this..

I would like to add my account.  This is all I could find about marijuana causing energy blockage, and I feel like it's what I am experiencing.  I was a heavy pot smoker this year and last, blowin trees a few times a day.  I love it, and I am super active, never lazy when high.  I would also meditate and i routinely felt/followed the energy flow through my face and body.  I could follow my sinus cavities and see/feel each air sac in my lungs fill up with energy every breath, and feel every organ.  I thought this was good, but it became out of control.  Eventually, maybe three months ago, I began to feel my posture change and noticed a knot both sides of my jaw.  With this, my shoulders became scrunched and abnormal and all the way down was just out of wack.  Posture was crazy and i hurt.  I quit smoking thirty days ago and still feel energy block.  I know this is what it is, because with meditation, I feel the abnormal flow.

Good news though.  Yesterday, i was walking home praying for my body to be healed, and my right side jaw released and everything with it.  Its insane, because my shoulders, hips and sides are now totally uneven.  Im still trying to remove the blockage in my other jaw.  Even my hands are different sizes now.  Pretty bizare, but I believe in this energy flow.  Loved marijuana, thought it to be perfect and harmless, but I believe it clogged me up.
