hello everybody!

My name is Armen and this is my first post.  I always told myself that when I was in more of a routine lifestyle, I would look into my abilities and try to develop them further.  I also have a few questions/concerns about how certain things work.  I'll keep it short and sweet and would appreciate any pertinent feedback or really anything related to what I mention.  

I have the ability to have premonitions(or visions), both in dreams and in semi conscious and conscious states, and astral project.  I've also had experiences seeing spirits (or ghosts?). As you can tell, I'm kinda new to discussions about this so bear with me with some of the terminology!

Sometimes my visions come in the form of metaphors and sometimes I see outlines without color of seemingly random events that happen later in the day.  

I once had a seriously vivid and dark premonition that arose out of a dream that came true the next day (involves death and will be one hell of a story on this forum sometime soon)

The only astral projections I can remember are from when I was a child, but at the time I thought they were just dreams and involved me hovering down my street like superman about a foot off the floor.  The fact that I still got those vibrations and squeaky noises members here speak of make me confident I can develop AP skills and other abilities I've mentioned.  Oh yeah and my sister has astral projected before, awesome stories!

NOW.... I have concerns:
1) Losing my soul or something of the sort which I've heard can happen if another spirit enters your body while your out and about.

2) I read someones concerns about screws and plates in his forearm and it hindering or stopping him from being able to AP... Well, 4 years ago I crushed my elbow joint and I have 2 plates and 15 screws holding it in place and have some nerve damage.  

3) I smoke weed, and see a direct correlation with it and being in tune with my spiritual side.  I quit when i started my new job 3 weeks ago and for the first week I remember once seeing a dark figure in my apartment, thinking it was the girl who spent the night, but she was still beside me when I turned around... also, one night i felt like I was leaving my body for about a second and "felt light".  I started smoking again a week later and the incidents stopped too... Is the damage I've done to my mind body spirit link permanent or will i regain powers as I stay away from weed

I'm very interested in developing any or all of these skills and before I get into my actual experiences I'd like to learn more about my concerns.

dont worry about  possession.  I cant give you an answer with the metal in your body but I dont think it will be a problem.  I had most of my successes during a time of heavy weed use but I dont smoke more than 2 times a month now and I still have experiences just not as often.

Hi Armen

Sorry to hear about the damage to your elbow, hope it improves with time.  In my opinion this won't affect your AP development at all.  I can't see why it should!

I hope you can try staying off the weed and see if you continue to have your premonitions and visions still.  This would rule out the possibility that the drugs are causing these effects (I know Castenada fans will argue that drugs are just astral doorways, but I'd rather be drug-free myself).

I do know several people who regularly see ghosts, auras visions etc, and these are very real to them.  I'd certainly be interested to read of some of your experiences!  I'm sure you will be able to develop your AP abilities if you give it a try.  You should read some of the books (by Monroe, Bruce etc)  and/or read the tehniques on this board.

Different people have different approaches.  For me the best is to AP early in the morning after about 5  or 6 hours sleep.  If I were less lazy I'd develop a technique to do this in the evening whilst sitting in an armchair, but I'm essentially a bit lazy and also and don't really have the time.

When I was a young kid I used to regularly "dream" of AP before I knew what it was.  I used to become aware during a "dream" of walking around the house.  It was dim and murky and everything seemed "weird".  Nothing worked - if I tried to switch on lights they wouldn't come on.  Movement was a bit like wading through water.  When I had my first conscious AP I tried to turn on a light switch in my house and presto! it didn't come on!  At that moment I remembered the "murky dreams" and realised what they were.  I also regularly used to dream of floating around the house etc..... (when I was a kid)

Let us know more about your visions and premonitions!  Have you ever seen a "ghost" which later proved to be a real person?  Have you ever seen a "ghost" which someone else also saw?!

I guess if I were to describe an experience, the easy choice is the time I predicted the death of the Armenian Prime Minister and 7 of his officials.  I'm Armenian so that definitely adds to the reasoning behind why I saw it.  I didn't predict it exactly but you'll see what I mean!  I think I've lost the 3 – 4 pages I wrote about it in detail at the time.

It started out as a regular dream, I was in John Abbott College in Montreal, where I went to school at the time, and doing a sort of group project. I remember messing around with and throwing papers and slinging elastics, normal dream stuff.  Then, it all changed.

The mood sunk and I didn't feel the same anymore.  All the people in the library were gone, it was darker, and there were no more books anywhere in the library.  The shelved books had been replaced by human torsos (naked, neck to waist, male and female, no blood) lined up side by side on the shelves by the hundreds.  

From above, I could hear two slightly echoing voices, one male one female, and they were discussing what seemed to be an ancient struggle/war which didn't seem very hopeful.  I then heard thunder as he said his next line and the bzzzzt I'll write in means a thunder bolt ripping in between his words ... "And resulted in the death of  Bzzzt 7000 Bzzzzt ARMENIAN Bzzzzt MEN!"  

I then woke up (or at least I thought I was waking up) to thunder in my house, and every time thunder would strike it would laminate the wall across my room in the hallway.  Every time the wall would light up, I would clearly see a shadow on the wall of a Grim Reaper, with his staff and all!  This occurred 3 or 4 times, until I finally woke up for real.  My room's door which had been open for me to see the wall was now closed, I'm almost positive of that.

I explained the crazy "dream" I had had to my parents the next day, and seeing as I was a kid, they more or less dismissed it as a nightmare and we went on with our day.  That same night on the news, my parents called me over and I was completely shocked to see that the Armenian Prime Minister and 7 of his officials had been assassinated in some sort of congregation or conference.

Just a couple days ago since I've decided to develop my abilities and learn about these topics, I did a search on the net about the assassination (my first time ever looking up info on this event) and I read that the 8th and final person to be buried via a private ceremony was Named Armenak Armenakian.  This may be coincidence, but the fact that my name is Armen made me freak out a little more.  

My buddy tells me that the 7000, which is similar to the actual # is a very common thing.  Often #s and dates aren't exact.  An example of this, which my friend was telling me about, is with the recent deadly earthquakes that occurred in Kashmir.  Apparently, it was well documented that somebody predicted earthquakes to occur on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September and they ended up happening on the 15th, 16th, and 17th.  

I've never had a premonition as vivid as that, and the rest I've had that I can remember were usually seeing actual things as I wake up or while trying to get to sleep. I see white outlines of the people and places and sometimes watery waves.  Rarely I see some colors but these visions don't usually reveal anything I can make out well... The outlines are usually more or less random events that later occur throughout the day, like getting into an argument with my now ex-girlfriend in her car, or something like my ex-g/f being on the phone in a certain room on the couch laughing... I won't go on cause like I said they're pretty random events but they happen.  Recently, I broke up with a recent girlfriend (not the other one I just mentioned) because, among other issues, she told me that she didn't share the same love for children as I do.  This concerned me very much, and two days after I broke up with her I saw a vision of her holding a baby and laughing with an older man.  Turns out that while she was at her cousins wedding the night earlier, the only time she wasn't completely miserable over the break up was when she was holding her brothers new baby, she felt at peace, and was sitting at a table talking to an older relative.  This one carried a bit more important and made me question whether I did the right thing by breaking up with her.  

Well, please comment on this if you know more than me about what I've seen (both the dream state and conscious visions)

That's a very interesting story, and I'm sure it was a premonition.  It's interesting that you noticed the whole atmosphere of the dream change, I think that's significant.

We all have premonitions in our dreams and don't recognise them as such.  Let's say that you work as a machinist on a metal lathe and one day you take a deep cut... too deep in fact and the metal blade generates a shower of sparks which fly towards you.  Luckily you're wearing protective eyewear so no problem....  But later that night you have the following dream:

You're standing in a crowd.  Everyone is standing with their backs to you.  Suddenly everyone turns around and you now see that they are all smoking.  All of the smokers then throw their lighted cigarettes towards you.

Now, there's no doubt that the dream was the result of the lathe incident earlier in the day, right?  But what if the order of events were reversed and the dream happened first? Would you still make the connection?  Probably, but many people wouldn't.

The point I'm making here is that if we examine our dreams we'll find many occasions where a symbolic dream happens the day before a physical event, but because the symbolism is tenuous we don't consider the dream prohetic.  But if the order of events were reversed, and the physical event preceded the dream, we would DEFINITELY see the connection.

This is the test we should apply when deciding if a dream is prophetic.  Simply try reversing the order - and put the dream second.  If we then see a connection, we're justified in considering the dream prophetic!

We're entitled to apply the same rules of cause and effect between physical events and dreams, regardless of whether the dream follows the event or precedes it...

On this basis, I reckon I've had quite a few prohetic dreams... though nothing quite as big as yours!
