Don't worry, this is normal.  I have not heard of anyone that just went out and became an AP master.  A quote from the Matrix.  "Everybody falls the first time".

There will be many things that break your concentration and seem to be making it impossible for you to AP.  If you come to look at them as part of the normal process, in time each of the new things that come up and catch your attention will fade to the back ground.

Look at it as a baby learning to walk, you fall allot, but don't give up!  Because you eventually learn to walk, er uh AP.

Just keep reading the amazing posts here on the forum and you will learn more and more.  Some people have said that it has taken them a year of more to be able to project.

Just don't get discouraged.  What you described is all to familiar to me and many others.  Keep on going and you will have success.

I most be doing something wrong during my attempts to OBE I will narrate my expirience last night and judge for yourself. I began on energy raising during the day as per Robert Bruce book NEW  then I began to meditate using breathing awareness. My heart center began throbbing very fast I began to feel heaviness in my body and all the sudde everything stopped. I was to aware since I stayed in this state thru the whole night and did not feel any sleep. In some ocassions I think i was having a lucid dream since i was fully aware or awake and came back to the room. I began using the breathing awareness and was in a semi paralyzed state my body was heavy until I got tired of this state and turned around and went to sleep. any help?
