There is at leat one instance (that I know of) where a spontaneous group OBE did occur. It took place during a severe forest fire in the American west a few years ago (sometime in the 1990's). A group of firefighters were trapped by flames and had to quickly get beneath their protective fireproof tarps. Miraculously all of them survived. One of those firfighters described an out of body experince where he hovered above the fire and looked down on his physical body and his fellow firefighters. He claimed to have seen the astral/ethereal bodies of most of those firefighters also floating nearby.  The other firefighters in the group reported the exact same experience.
Note- can't remember where I saw this report. It was probably on one of the various OBE forums on this or another website.

Maybe if a large community of spirutally enlightened ones (PC term for people who have expirienced OBES) we could all try to project at the same time, and all try to bring our astral bodies to the same location. It would be a great oppurtunity to expirement and observe...any takers?
