Title: my experience with getting into trance.
Post by: jilola on April 09, 2003, 16:10:24
Yep.
In the spiritual quest yuo never ever get what you want. Only what you need.
Thus wanting a trance, wanting to project, wanting to evolve never gets you there.
A hippie once said "you can't rush karma, man"
In other words, when you stop being dependent on things you want and get on with things you have you'll suddenly find you have the things you wanted. In one way or another.

Greetings rodentmouse,

Yes, I could not agree more.

Meditation is a core skill, and one that is of immense value to almost every aspect of progression along the path. Even 30 minutes each day is of great benefit, but must be every day.

We need to define "meditation", and my defintion would be total emptiness of the mind allowing impressions from the higher/inner spheres to filter though. This can lead to trance, Astral sight, clairvoyance etc..

Other cornerstones are concentration and visualisation exercise.

Today I concentration exercises in the Astral Consciousness forum:

rodentmouse,

I totally agree with the importance of meditation to the spiritual path. The benefits of everyday meditation are both physical (i.e. lowers stress, calms the body) and spiritual as Adrian ably defined it.

Very best,

hello  to the people :D

for  anyone who  is  having  trouble  getting  into  trance or  getting  deeply  relaxed,  my  advice  would  be  to  focus on  being able to learn how to MEDITATE...

ever since  ive begun  to focus more on  being able to do this than being  able  to  leave my  body,  ive  found it a  lot   SIMPLER getting into  trance.

I also  get the vibrations more frequently now..

i know  Robert  emphasises  this is  AD as a core skill,   but  i just thought  id  clarify  the  truth in it,  hopefully to  emphasise  its  importance...

its definatly helped me..

basically,  if  your  longing  to  project,  (but  cant meditate or  focus the mind)  i  think  learning  how  to meditate  should  be  your  focus  for the time being...
