My First OBE

Hello,  I'm new here

I cant believe what happened to me.  I experienced my first ever OBE without even trying it.  
It happened spontaneously and was completely unplanned.

I remember a buzzing sound, and I felt myself lifted about a foot or two above my body.  It lasted for maybe 10 seconds and was the coolest thing I ever experienced in my life.  Cant wait to try it again so I bought a book on 'Astral Projection'.

I also found this forum after googling OBE's and thought I'd share this experience with you

OK, that was really, really weird.  The first time I posted it came out fine, but then something strange happened overnight.  Maybe I was sleep walking...

Anyway, just wanted to say, congrats on the OBE. It is an amazing experience, isn't it?

I cant wait to try it again.  This time I want an intentional OBA, thats why I bought a book that says I can attain Astral Projection in 90 days.
We shall see.  I figure if I can have one unintentionally I should be able to have one intentionally.

I remember 2 things that very clearly stood out for me. It was 2 thoughts:

1) Everything in the universe is right where it should be.
God doesnt make mistakes and our seemingly chaotic world is not "out of control" like I used to think before.

2) All the good and the bad we see right now in the world doesnt really matter.
Kinda hard to put that one into words but thats the best way I can describe it

You and me both, brother!  I modified your modification, though I'm sure the message has changed a bit since last night.  Yes, you will have more experiences now.  I think it is in a way like lifting weights, the more you practice, the bigger your muscles get.  OBEs and associated phenomenon increase in your life as you experiment more with them - it grows like a snowball.  Have fun!

Thanx Bro, and yup it was the coolest experience ever.

I'll go into more detail, I had a back problem and was prescribed muscle relaxants and pain killers.  My doctor said dont drink alcohol on them.  Of course I didnt listen so I had a couple of beers.  But let me make sure I was not drunk, I had maybe 4 or 5 beers while sitting in my bed watching TV.  Then suddenly I felt really relaxed and light and all of the sudden heard this weird buzzing noise (sounded like a giant fan was next to me).  And then I had my OBE for maybe 10 seconds or so.

Let me reiterate, I was not drunk, dreaming or delusional.  This really happened!
I later learned this is quite common with people that are under anesthetics

Yes, it is pretty common, though it must have been the muscle relaxants that had the effect since beer (in my experience) tends to reduce the possibility of an OBE or dreaming.  Mileage on that may vary depending on the person though.  Of course in the end it is best not to use drugs to induce them for many reasons, not the least of which is control.  Lucky you for having the presence of mind to log the experience!

A remember a story my mom told me about an OBE she had years ago.  She was "floating above her body" when she had her wisdom teeth taken out and was on laughing gas. She said it was one of the weirdest experiences of her life.

I just started my 90-day Astral Projection book yesterday.  I'll keep you guys updated on how I do.
I hope to be projecting in a few months.

Also there's evidence in the bible of ancient prophets projecting.  A famous one was Elisha (2 Kings), he would tip off the Israelites on invasions before they happened.  I figure if Elisha was allowed to AP then AP'ing must be a good thing, and not evil like some fundamentalists make it out to be

It's not evil at all, some may say is evil because of fear of the unknown, it's also supposed to be something you do naturally, but not consciouss/aware of it.

I agree.  Thats why I avoid fundamentalists, televangelists and faith healers like the plague, they think everything is evil and we're all going to hell.  I still believe in the Bible though, I just dont like organized religion.

There's other interesting supernatural abilities in the Bible btw.  AP is one of them but there's also these:

Levitation and Psychokinesis  (Matthew 14:23-31) &  (Matthew 8:24-26)

Invisibility (2 Kings 6:15-17)

Contacting the Dead (1 Samuel 28:7-8)

Super Human Strength Samson (Judges 16:3 )

Ghosts (perhaps someone AP'ing???) (Job 4:14-17)

And much, much more.  The Bible also says man can attain these great powers

Everything in the first post fits perfectly with my OBE experiences Over half a year it happen now, still extremely amazed... Life changing experience indeed as many say, just 5 seconds...
