Hello, I have a issue with having a successful OBE. After doing much research I have tried every technique I can but my problem is leaving my body. I can enter the vibration state in a few minutes easily because I have used it to put myself to sleep over the years. But after months of attempts I am stumped. The closest I ever got was a few months ago when I felt this light pressure on my center-lower back then it grew slightly then it stayed like that until it grew to this huge, very strong, and focused pressure, it had felt as if I was being pushed out, but I couldn't seem to leave after an hour and a half (i spent another hour and a half vibrating before) of this very unusual pressure i broke my state, can anyone help me?
Maybe you're expecting too much. In my case I just practiced everyday without even thinking it would happen and after two months it just did. Just be patient and stick to one technique and you may have an OBE soon.
Good luck
Near as I can tell it's tied more to confidence and optimism and being relaxed and unconcerned than to how you actually practice. I have my best results when I'm not stressed, generally happy with life and not really trying to do anything. I know that doesn't help any; that's just how it seems to work for me.

If you're focusing on that "light pressure on your center-lower back" then that's probably locking you in your body.
You don't want to focus on your body, ever. You want to disassociate from the physical entirely. Don't get tricked into thinking about your body.
Don't think about your eyes... don't think about any bodily sensations... all they do is bring your attention back to the physical, when what you want is the exact opposite. :)
Personally, I'd suggest you try Phasing and start with the Noticing method.

And I wrote an article on my own website regarding it using one of Franks posts he made here.

QuoteBefore I get into methods that we use to Phase, I think it's important to know what it is first.
This post (http://www.astralpulse.com/forums/welcome_to_astral_consciousness/was_this_phasing-t2960.0.html), made by Frank, is a perfect description of what Phasing is:
QuotePhasing describes a controlled process where you phase out of the mode of being open to the Physical world (or C1 consciousness as it's generally termed) and allow your sense of conscious awareness to become open to other realms of reality. There are two basic schools of thought on this, the latest is the Moen-school, and I believe the idea was first touted by Monroe.
There is a technique which people call "WILDs" (Wake Induced Lucid Dreams). These are, in effect, Phasing. Anytime you switch your Focus of Awareness from one Focus to another Focus while remaining consciously awake and aware, that is Phasing. In essence, it's falling asleep into the non-physical and remaining consciously aware. Through Phasing, you go to the same places as you would through more traditional OBE methods and you can do all the same things.
"Noticing" is a name given to a basic Phasing Exercise. You can find the details in the Astral Pulses' Frank Kepple Phasing Resource, found here. It's got lots of solid information written by Frank Kepple and compiled by one of the moderators, Gandalf, after Frank's disappearance.
QuoteNoticing what?
Well, nothing at first, there's not much to see really but blackness. But then, after a short while, I may see that perhaps one part of the blackness is not quite so black. Perhaps there was just a brief flash of something, then maybe a sensation of a movement somewhere else. Maybe I just heard someone call my name. Hmm, that's interesting, I might think, I wonder where that came from. But I don't get too curious I just keep noticing. I might see swirling areas of not quite so black as the rest. I might see flashes of this and that. As I am offering myself these images, my attention is steadily becoming more fixated within.
As my attention becomes fixated within, from the act of noticing, at this stage I am not aware of my physical body. Part of my awareness realises that somewhere in the background is a physical body, in bed, etc. but I have phased away from it. Before, the forefront of my awareness was my physical and 180 degrees turned around from that, in the background of my awareness, was the non-physical. But now there has been a "phase shift" i.e. a turning through 180 degrees. Now, my previous foreground (physical) is my background, and my previous background (non-physical) is my foreground.
Reading this particular link, The Phasing Resource, is what allowed me to progress further than I ever had during the previous years.
I hope it does the same for you.
Sleep deprivation works a treat! When I was suffering with a bad sleeping disorder (kept waking up several times a night and not falling back to sleep – I guess insomnia) I would always have an OBE guaranteed.
In fact the sleep disorder was in probably due to the OBE's as it was always in the back of my head prior to sleeping (catch-22 I guess). But none the less if you were to wake up at around 2-3am and try and staying awake lying bed letting the brain chatter away you eventually fall into semi-conscious state which 'can' manifest itself into an OBE.
I think there may be a more formal approach using the sleep deprivation method but the only downside is I found that during my OBE's it was hard to stay focused and the OBE would jump from OBE to lucid dreams and back to OBE and so on – perhaps I was too tired to remain focused in the OBE state.
Obviously sleep deprivation methods are best tried on a weekends when you don't have to get up early.
We generally don't like suggesting people deprive themselves of sleep... due to the health hazards that can be created. :)
So, do so at your own risk.

Have you tried simply getting up?
