Smoking Marijuana before Projecting?

Did anyone every try Smoking pot right before projecting?
I've tried it, got REALLY strong vibrations, then Fell asleep right after

Nope never got OBE smoking weed, but I did smoke (caleia?) I think it's called. I ordered some off line a year or so ago and usually would smoke it at night and then sleep after. I don't recall having OBE's with it, but I did have extremely good dream memorizaiton and would remember up to like 6 dreams a night

I have never had an OBE that was induced thru smoking MJ. Also I don't smoke anyway or use other mind altering substances. This is NOT a moral judgement on those that do, it is my personal life choice.
However, that being said there is ample evidenve that mind altering substances can and do produce OBEs. A wide variety of such reports can be found at www.erowid.org   Go to the Mind & Spirit section (called a "vault" there) and click on the OBE link. There are several dozen OBE accounts linked to various drug use.
Now, one more short word here. IMO drugs are NOT very useful for deliberately inducing an OBE. Why? Because those people that have OBEs  because of various legal and illegal substances are most often confused, disoriented and Not in control of their experience while out of body. There are a few exceptions but generally drugs are much more of a negative, and not a positive, factor.
