Both of my only spontaneous  OBE's I ever experienced was incredible.

1. in my 20's.

I fell asleep on the sofa in the living room of my then boyfriends house, with one leg over the top of the sofa as it was a hot day and muggy night...I had heat stroke, and did not realise until a day later.

Suddenly without warning, I found myself  floating on the ceiling, hovering around and  looking down on my body just as I had left it. I was calm and aware to just go with what I saw. I relinquished  control, to what I do not know, but something just took me I guess. How I never freaked out is anyones guess...I just remember feeling an incredible bliss, and coudn't care less if I never returned back to my body, thats how powerful it was. I have no fear of death because of this episode I can tell you.

Anyway, as I was floating around admiring the light shade, I noticed the  surroundings was exactly as I left them, I even floated off into another room in the house (still on the ceiling lol) and saw everything the same, and as much as I could not process what was actually happening, I just watched in awe and saw the people were still in their beds and everything was "normal" then I floated back into the living room and then wham, I woke up.

2. in my 40's

I fell asleep and felt some angel being softly pulling me out of my body at my feet. Very gently and lovingly. I initially went with them but started to panic and felt scared to go with them. I frantically grasped at my "bed body" to stay in my bed body and wake up so I could't go.
I woke up and was freaked out, only to find myself in hospital the next night after a serous water infection that had brewed the night before and a kidney stone that was blocked in my bladder tube. I guess if I had not have passed it naturally in the hospital, I would have had to have emergency surgery.

-------------------------

Both OBE's were related to physical health, or lack thereof. And to mention I wasn't at all religious,  The second one where the invisible "angel beings" which gently pulled me out was interesting as I did not believe in an afterlife or any kind of angels. I guess it must be a subconscious belief that surfaced, or they really do exist...

Thank you for sharing.  :-)

I believe there are loving beings who assist us, definitely. The answer to, "is it a subconscious belief or do angels really exist?" could be- both!

And I'd say both are worth exploring.  :-)

Wow, all of that sounds like a real impact on consciousness, one of those experiences that flips your whole world upside down to put it back into perspective and turn it 180 degrees.

It may be that the body enters altered states during health issues and is more prone to leaving the body, your theory could be accurate.

Regarding Angels, perhaps that word suggests a strong religious connotation that not everyone feels comfortable assuming. Not me. But if you prefer you could simply call them non-physical residents of non-physical reality. And in those realms, the inside and outside seem more intermingled, just like "Them/I", inside vs. outside, does it really exist? My experience tells me no, everything is one in the end. As Tides said, it's something to explore!

We all have helpers who facilitate these kinds of experiences for us with a specific purpose, thousands of people describe similar cases to yours. I also felt them, but they didn't seem like angels to me, just highly advanced energy beings.

Thanks for sharing and I hope you learn a lot here to be able to induce them and live great adventures!
Astral Pulse is a great school  :-)

These two experiences scream to me that your higher self was trying to show you that there's so much more to reality than what we can see with our physical eyes.

The "angel being" which pulled you out was most likely an aspect of yourself or your higher self.

My own perspective is that we are bits of consciousness called awareness.  That awareness projects towards this physical reality towards these physical bodies.  When we fall asleep at night, our awareness projects to the non-physical.  We humans incorrectly call this act "dreaming".

All of life is a projection.  If you're experiencing ANYTHING, you're projecting.

This also makes each of us god, since we're all derived from the "one" or "consciousness" as a whole.  :)
