Is this the trance state?

This sounds like a light transe. Transe can have different degrees of intensity/deepth. When you are absorbed and concentrating on a given activity, whether a physical or intelectual activity, it is also a state of transe, however very light. I guess you are getting there, take your time. There are other books on transes, books on meditation and of course books on OBE that describe the different stages. There is a book of Bruce on the web that has the information you are looking for about transe. Just check the astral pulse site for it. It is available in PDF format I think.

Hey, i experience this very often! But i still don't know what is it. Sometimes there is also a sensation like movement (like i mentally move) into this emptiness. But the further i go into it - the bigger the emptiness gets. And i see nothing there, only blackness.

Hello Isr,

I got your message but due to an error with my browser I could not reply. Anyhow, in the book on OOBE of Bruce (Treaty on OOBE) the part that describes the transe state is

Vol.II, V.1.1., part 3,
pages starting 34 till page 41 included. I remember I read that the transe makes you feel the space around differently. It might have been in another book that I read that you feel like the space around you is expanding, but sure it is an effect of the transe. I have also felt something strange, but it is usually when I reach the vibrations, just before I "exit".

You can also check some books on meditation, there transe is described even in more details (depending on the books however).

Hi all

This happened to me yesterday:
I was lying in bed trying to get into a trance, after about 4 minutes my mind started wandering (like daydreaming), but as soon I noticed I had strayed from my focus I come back to the blackness behind my eyelids, but it was different, it was pure black, no motions, with a sense of depth, I also feel in a bigger place, and I wasn't feeling my body, this state faded slowly after a minute I got up to drink some water.
What was it? Can anybody tell me if it was the trance state, I think this state is the key to OBE... Where can I buy ASTRAL DYNAMICS in Mexico?
