Title: My plans for the astral plane. Are they realistic?
Post by: benjerman on April 07, 2013, 21:10:43
Hello.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. I have studied astral projection for 3 years now. I have had experiences on the astral plane. . Here are some things I want to accomplish on the astral plane:

Go to a forest and communicate with a tree-sprit (I have met a satyr in a forest once, which I "visited" quite often).
Alter my perception of time. As my teacher (who has passed away) used to do. He spent more time on the astral plane than on the physical.
Consult a dragon. Once again, my dear teacher told me once of how he traveled far out past the galaxies, in the darkness and communicated with a dragon. I have always felt drawn to the dragons, and someday I wish to study Draconic Magic.

My question is, have any of you experienced any of the above? Do you think I am being realistic? Personally, I do not believe anything is "impossible". As you see, I have made a couple references to a teacher of mine. He was very knowledgeable in the occult, wicca, Astral Projection, and spirituality in general. Unfortunately, He passed away recently. As a result, I have joined this forum in hopes of finding further encouragement and instruction on my path of knowledge.

Thank you!

I am sorry for your loss.

No, none of those are unreasonable for a training ground (Frank's early term for F21 experiences). If you get a winning projection, you can do just about anything. In addition, training turns you into a tuning fork of sorts. You'll be able to do all sorts of interesting stuff after a while.

If you are serious about the training, it takes regiment and discipline for a number of months at least. I recommend scouring through all the stickies here and definitely delving into Frank's compendium that Xanth put together. I often joke about the archives of this forum being a Akashic record in themselves. You just gotta go digging.

Best of luck on your journey. It sounds noble. Ask away.  :-D

Cheers,
Contenteo

I am a big fan of mythology and in my country dragons are one of the main characters of many tales. Some of them wise and some of them bad. I believe that legends have some truth to them. In the distant past our reality may have been closer or merging to parallel worlds where these creatures live. Who knows. But nothing really is impossible in the astral. Whether it will be created by you, or your thoughts will take you to existing places.
By the way, how good are you at AP. During these 3 years of experiences have you tried getting there?

You will need to put your self in an altered state of consciousness to see and communiate with all the different beings in the forest .

Hmm...

No and yes, at about the same time.

It is VERY possible to find youself in those circumstances, communing with such apparent beings. That said, they will probably not be what you think or expect them to be. Coming in with a laundry list of goals is strong motivation to stick with this stuff, just be prepared to have your notions shifted when you find youself standing on the brink.

Regardless of who you are, you don't have that side of things figured out while you have only seen this side, and to be truthful even the many of us who have been to the other side now and again probably are not much the wiser for what is going on over there. It is baffling and confounding to be brief. Those who think they have figured it out and given names and structure to the mess  are extremely likely to be self-deceived. You can discern patterns and guiding rules for your experiences, but that is about the height of what can probably be known for sure.

All of that out of the way, your goals are no big feat to accomplish really, once you get a few controlled projections under your belt. You will learn a lot from projection, and you will learn yet more if you go into it knowing that it is not going to be a fully literal experience.

Goodluck!
