Over the last couple of days I have been doing the same exercise every-night before bed.

Wait till 1-2 O-clock in the morning.
Feeling tired
body is nice and relaxed
Now, Even though I have not had a successful out of body experience, I believe intent is most crucial step. You're telling yourself what is going to happen. Without the intent how on earth are you going to have one? But that is just me, I believe everyone has there way. My mind set's that goal and when The chance is golden, I start to get symptoms for having an OBE. Because Of my Intent. I maybe wrong, I maybe right. Just a heads up that's all.

It is a simply exercise. Though, I would say it is quite hard for people who have hard time trying to not be aware of there physical body. somewhat. Don't worry about your physical body, for me it's all about getting my body into a deep relaxation state which then starts to take the feeling off the  that is where I can then actually start to have an OBE.

Have a Go My way. last night it took like 15-30 minutes. Give it a go, It might work for you.
